Great vibe to this place with excellent music. It is a bit of a lounge throwback with blues and jazz mostly played. Excellent cocktails and very knowledgeable bar keeps. Anastasia was behind the bar and made some excellent drinks. Be sure to try a French Kiss.

First off, I loved the vibe and ambiance of this place. We made a reservation on a Sat morning for 7pm that evening. (Definitely make a reservation! You can do so thtough their website.) Our seat was a two top located one row back from the front of the stage. The seats were standard black chairs, so not too comfortable, but given the ambiance and good company, my overall enjoyment was not affected in the least. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. Our waitress did a fantastic job on a busy Sat night. The pacing of the meal was spot on. Over all the food was very good to excellent as well. We had the crab cakes, a bowl of the red bell pepper soup, the red snapper, the eggplant parmigiano, and a side of the brussel sprouts. All were excellent. The side of the brussel sprouts is a very generous portion, tasted very good, but was prepared with a bit too much oil. The snapper and eggplant parm were solid and did not disappoint, nor did the crab cakes--very tasty! The soup was delicious but the portion in my opinion was way too small for the price of a bowl, so I won't order that next time. Being able to listen to live jazz and blues while you eat is fantastic! We are glad we went and we will be back! TIP: If you have a group of 4 to 6, consider requesting table 71, the "Sinatra Booth." It's one of the two booths in the restaurant. The Sinatra Booth is located near the stage. The other booth is located towards the rear of the restaurant and not near the stage.

Couldn't have picked a better place to spend our 15th anniversary. The food, service and music were all top notch! Making another reservation for this weekend. Highly recommended.

Great place to enjoy some live Jazz! I almost missed this place by mistaking it as closed. There are two sides to this place one side with a bar and small stage and another performance hall type side. Make sure to try both doors before missing out on this place. Great drinks but hit or miss bartenders (some really good and some not so good). Drinks are reasonability priced ($5.50 or so for well liquor) and the atmosphere is very chill. Tip: check the online calendar for upcoming performances and themed events.

five stars for music, five stars for drinks, five stars for food. I have to take off a star for the service though it's very regrettable. I went there on a Thursday. ordered a hoegaarden a brass house hanmer (very strong), half a lasagna (five stars) half a chef's bolognese (four stars). the waiter said he'd have my water out right away then went awol. he also gave me an incorrectly priced receipt. portions are small. prices are very not cheap. music is great!

OVE THIS PLACE.. PERIOD.. What happens when you combine live brass instruments, dudes in suspenders, martinis and amazing food?? A darn good time at Brass House, that's what! I can only be honest in stating that my husband's uncle "Spud" & father of the groom (age 50+) told us about this place while at the reception and when we walked in I griped about being one of the youngest people in there. My husband quickly corrected me by reminding me of my age and politely told me to "chill".. I am so glad I did. We started at the bar ordered a couple cocktails and some food. I got the fritto misto (what I would have ordered at Olive & June) and my husband ordered something with beef..both were grand. As the night progressed and people started to head to their second or third stop of the night the place thinned out. By this time two uncles and three cousin's showed up to party with us..well they were there already just on the other side. We moved down towards to front and had a ball. It was great fun! There are two sides.. once is brassy Jazz the other is spoken word and neo-soul. I love Austin..

I'm a sucker for jazz music so when I heard this had opened I was pretty excited to partake. I finally made it last weekend. There are actually two sides to the bar, a large and a smaller side. We hung out on the smaller side. It has a cool vibe and the music that night was very good. We weren't very impressed with their drinks and although we didn't eat, the food that the couple had next to us, did not look appealing. I would say this is primarily a place for good music.

Love live jazz. Love that this place hosts live shows pretty much every night. Venue is pretty intimate, but extremely loud -- so will probably sit in the middle-back next time. Service was good. Food & Drinks are a bit pricey, so keep that in mind. Food was definitely not something I'd come back for. So maybe come after dinner for some drinks & music. If you like jazz, take a look here :)

Extraordinary. Deep jazz. Phenomenal eloquent storytelling jazz and focused not-"playing" but sexual explosion type jazz. Check out Terry Thomas and friends if you can. No disappointment. Service and booze is secondary in this unique establishment. Expect record crowds.
