One of my favorite places to go for BBQ! You can't beat their pork steak and brisket! Great staff too!

Not a bad mom & pop BBQ joint. I had the 2 meat plate and it was $19.99. Would have liked a little more mat but what I had was good. I picked brisket & sausage. My sides were baked beans & green beans.

Food was good. I ordered the 3 meat plate and split it with my son. We got the smoked sausage, brisket and chicken with corn and green beans as the side. The chicken (we got a breast and wing)was a bit dry but it was delicious. The brisket pieces we got, again, a little bit dry but the flavor was great. The sausage was great, the moistest of the 3 meats. The veggies (corn and green beans) reminded me of lunchroom veggies, just boiled in the pan and maybe a bit of seasoning but nothing to write home about. The day we came in there was some kind of local charity meeting, so the place looked very crowded, but only about 4 people were actually eating inside and the other probably 20 were just listening to this meeting. The dining room is very Texas decorated, lots of cowboy and southwest decorations. Including any picture of John Wayne set up almost like a little shrine with hot she hangers and things around it. Nice and inviting tho. Price wasn’t bad my meal and my wife’s (she ordered a burger), was under $45 including 3 drinks and the 3 meals. Would come back again if I’m in the area.

10/10 for this family run restaurant! Just walked out and first thing I had to do was write a review. Brisket on point, Elgin sausage - and BOMB potato salad. Great service. Cant ask for much more

Another hidden Austin Gem. I have been everywhere in town for BBQ and have driven to Memphis in May for comparison ; Amazing brisket and sausage all the time! Support old school Austin when you get a chance by stopping here. Thank you Vic's family and staff for great food every time!

The attention was very friendly. The place is an old style, but the brisket was very dry, the salad was good, the ribs were normal. It seems to me that the prices are the same as other normal BBQs in the city, but the food is not that good.

So I wasn’t expecting this place to be as amazing as it was, the brisket was the best I’ve ever had!! Even better than the one I smoke! Ribs were great, staff were so friendly! If I lived here I’d go all the time! Oh and this is another lunch break, food is ready, grab and go, whatever timeframe you have is up to you! 😊

Their phones are not working, so it is frustrating that I could not call in my order ahead of time. Their BBQ is Awesome!

Don't you like when you stumble into one of those places and either because you didn't know it was there or you overheard somebody talk about eating there. Will for me this is one of those sheer joys of life, and I am so glad I found Vic's BBQ! I met the son of the founder and was very hospitable, helpful with my choices about sauce. The price is very reasonable and for what you get the flavor and taste is exquisite and Texas down home cooking. Like most BBQ places there's a standard if what you get and what you pay extra for but that's expect.ed. Family owned & ran ... A+.
