Muangthai Thai Restaurant - Austin - Photo album

I tried the Tom kha soup, basil fried rice and pad Thai . I liked all of them except the pad Thai. As I am a vegetarian, I tried everything with tofu. The service is fast and the portions are huge. And it was not crowded.
Must try pineapple fried rice and if you are spicy lover try basil fried rice
Oh. My. Goodness. This was an excellent choice. Wow. Appetizer: Fried Dumplings "Fried wonton skin stuffed with ground pork, crab meat, and bamboo shoots. Served with sweet and sour black sauce." These were so delicious! Entree: Tom Yum Ta-lay Heang "Stir-fried scallops, shrimp, squid and mussels
Server was polite and understood our order. Food took 50 minutes to get to us and as I was about to call it quits, it showed up. Presentation of food was great however my Pad Thai tasted a bit funny. Not bad but like not what I’m used to. I thought it had a ketchup base but after asking at checkout
Their food is consistently on point and the staff are very friendly. Their Tom Kha is among the best in Austin, and their basil fried rice is absolutely delectable. Highly recommend!
I ordered Pad Kee Mao with 4 🌶 and its really hot and very tasty. The flat rice noodle is full of wok flavor (for those that appreciate Asian fried noodles/rice you know what i meant). They do have lunch menu served with soup or salad during weekdays. The tomyum soup is another highlight from thr re
This restaurant offers flavorful and very authentic Thai food. This is one of my favorite restaurants in North Austin. I usually order the curry but the last time I ordered the crispy duck in chili sauce. The quality and flavor was superb and worth the price.
The atmosphere is a little different here but the food was great. I started off with some chicken eggrols, crispy on the outside delicious and tender on the inside these were gone 10 sec after they hit the table. The wonton soup was generous in portions and ingredients, sweet and tangy with nice chu
This Thai place is the best Thai place we’ve ever been to. (And we’ve been to a lot of Thai places) We’ve been coming here every week, and week after week, the quality of the food is consistent. The food is so delicious, flavorful and unique. The service and ambience are warm and friendly. The tofu’
Nice place on research boulevard. Nice atmosphere and good food. Tried basil fried rice with chicken and veggie spring rolls, both are good. Their choice of spice seasoning and hot sauce are really good. Fried rice well made and quick service. courteous lady at the checkout and very friendly staff.
Great food/ presentation. Staffs are very friendly. 4 stars for food as I find the food a bit sweeter than other Thai restaurants, but 5 stars for service. We will visit again.
Always had good food here. Service can be slow at times but its worth the wait for food. I got pad mee kao with tofu and crispy duck stir fry. The pad mee kao is my usual go to order and it's one of the best in austin. The seasoning is always on point loaded with fresh veggies. The crispy duck was
I got food from Muang Thai Restaurant and it smelled so good I had to go back to get some for myself! My friend got the pad Thai and I had the yellow curry with an order of the crab and cream cheese rolls. Muang Thai has great authentic Thai flavors and also some Americanized dishes like Orange Chic
A great Thai joint with unique Bahmee dishes… try the soup for sure… the lunch soups at great as well… they hv different all days…
To review Muangthai I am torn on what score to give. Part of me wants to give them a great score, but the other part wants to give a lower score. Truthfully, I would give a 3.5 stars if I could. If we were talking straight food, this place would be a 5 star review restaurant. If you like spicy food
