This is the 2nd time I have visited this buffet within a couple of days since visiting Austin. The buffet had a lot of options to choose from, and the food was fresh. On the weekends, they had seafood selections more than the weekdays. Price is decent, but this place stands out because of the quality of the food. The sushi and salads were on point. The service was great and our waiter was great too. Overall, this place is great, and if you happen to be visiting or live in Austin, check them out. For now, this is my place to go when visiting Austin.
It is very strong “4 stars” for Chinese restaurant. Food and service are really good. For the amount of people there who constantly were doing mess when serving themselves the place looked very clean. I was surprised with amount of crabs and barbecue what is not very typical for Chinese restaurants, at least not in another states.
Buffet palace is a place I come to occasionally when I am craving for a variety of things on a good price point. They also make Korean short ribs which I am very fond of. Upon entering the restaurant, you order your drinks and you’re good to go! There’s sushi, Korean short ribs, shrimps, crabs, salmon, sushi, fried stuff, soup, pho, desserts. Dinner has more options than lunch and dinner costs $15.99 per person, after tips and tax that is essentially $20. It is very worth it for the variety, no wait for food, and service.
Really impressed by the quality. For a Chinese buffet it is very good, and the Korean and Japanese dishes are great, too. I don't have high expectations for buffets because I go for the variety and the price, but this one is the best I've had in a long time. Only come if you really like Asian food, though. They aren't like other Chinese buffets that have pizza and mozzarella sticks. But if you do like Asian food, the quality is great. And it was open and not packed on Christmas!
Good all-you-can eat buffet. Wide selection of Chinese food, sushi and various desserts. Lunch price is $12.99 until 3:30pm, which is a great value for the money.
A good variety of food that would please all tastes. Sushi needs some attention and seafood has really lots of variants and well prepared.
I just wanted to leave a review, well a warning ⚠️
Don't order coffee, worst cup I've ever had. Super weak like coffee-flavored water, grinds floating on top, and served in a Styrofoam cup 15 minutes late like they weren't used to people ordering it.
The food is your average Chinese buffet, good place to go on Xmas if you're into that
The 5 stars for the amount of vegetarian options there are and that my non-vegetarian family enjoyed it here as well :)
Vegan options:
- japchae (this was my favorite out of all)
- marinated fried tofu
- tofu spring rolls
- vegetable egg rolls
- garlic edamame
- vegetarian sushi
- fries
- fruit
Vegetarian options:
- Korean vegetable pancake
- garlic bread
- fried rice
- vegetable tempura sushi (if it’s not there you can ask for them to make it, they’ll make a fresh one for you)
- lots of salads
- dessert (cakes, ice cream, the standard buffet desserts)
Im sure there are a couple other vegetarian options that I’ve missed, but overall this buffet is a decent buffet option to go if you’re vegetarian and are going with family :)
It’s buffet food, so obviously don’t expect authentic incredible food if you’re a foodie 🤣 we came here because our extended family was visiting from another country and they wanted to experience what a buffet is like in America.
We will come back if we ever crave buffet food in the future or if other family from out of country come
I haven’t really been to a buffet but I was craving Chinese and this place popped up. I’m really glad I came in. They have a wide variety of options and everything is fresh. I was surprised to see they also had sushi. I really liked that they had everything labeled as to indicate what allergies. Fish, egg, meat or vegetarian friendly. I really liked this place and they do serve beer 🍺 I recommend the Jop Chae, the Tofu with sesame dressing, and the spinach salad all are very good!
First time back since Pandemic and glad to see the place is still around and busy. They offer the familiar amount of varieties and the taste is same of what I remember. Like any other places, the price for lunch buffet had gone up as well, but I still believe the price is reasonable for the amount and quality of food received. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Not always perfect but always filling and always worth the trip. Not sure if it has hew management or what but does seem recently to be struggling but perhaps still trying to adapt to supply chains and labor after Trump's bungling of COVID response, which hammered all buffet restaurants more than others for obvious reasons. But we like it. We go every couple of months so we can still fit through the door.
Classic Chinese buffet. Good variety of food.
I had dinner, the price was around $15-16
With tax and tips I paid $20
There were no wait for a table
About food.
I liked unusual layout of food stations.
This buffet had a lot of food options.
I found what I like. Sushi, sesame chicken, green beans, broccoli, lo main noodles, fried dumplings.
Everything was very good.
Only one thing, the was a mess on all the stations. I believe it’s because dinner time.
Anyway, food around pans, food on a floor, a little lack of offered dishes.
Nonetheless, it’s a good buffet.
Thank you
Good luck
For two people, we spent $36 eating here. Most of the food we tried was delicious, my favorite being the tofu slices with veggies, rangoons, the vegetable pancakes, and the sesame chicken. Worst food for me was the meat cake and the beef and broccoli.
Came for dinner. Good variety of different dishes. This picture is of sushi, spring roll, edamame and egg flower soup and sesame balls. They also have crab, crawfish, shrimp, and pollock fillets cut up. Chicken galore and kalbi ribs. Lots of different salads and soups. Dinner seems to be popular with a lot of people stopping in to eat. I noticed Asians coming to eat here… if Asians come to eat buffet then it can’t be that bad LOL.. I can say it because I’m part Asian.
