Review Tlc Austin - Austin

We had such a great girls night here! Our waitress Taylor really went above and beyond making sure we were cared for. The oysters were great, and the Caesar salad was a truly great surprise of a dish. Will definitely go again and recommend anyone in the are to check it out

Delicious food. Service was fantastic! Went for brunch yesterday with two friends. Crab fried rice was delicious, hush puppies were amazing, and the bloody mary was delicious and nice and boozy. Can’t want to go back.

Tried something new. This establishment takes reservations but the place was pretty empty when my husband and I arrived. I think we beat the rush. We shared: Raw Oysters - Husband could not get enough of these lil critters. He absolutely loved the freshness and flavor. Andouille & Cheddar Hushpuppies - Surprisingly good. I was leery of the andouille in it but it all blended together well. A bit of spice but not too much. The Boil - Dungeness Crab (as they were out of Snow Crab) with Smoked Garlic and Lemon Garlic Butter. This was d e l i c i o u s! The crab was fresh and cooked perfectly. The Smoked Garlic it was cooked with did not overpower the crab at all. I would order this again when I come back. Redfish and Crab - Was not really worth the money it costs, to me anyway. The Husband was practically drooling over it he liked it so much. I was not that impressed, I preferred the crab in the boil instead. All in all we had a pleasant experience. The restaurant has a nice ambience, was clean and the staff was friendly. As we were leaving it started to get busy, so certain times of the day a reservation would be best. I recommend this place.

I was visiting from Miami, Florida and I went to TLC Austin for lunch with family. The staff was very friendly and our waiter Garrett was awesome. The place has a relaxed and casual vibe even though it was 106 degrees. The food was amazing and affordable and the service was fantastic. I definitely recommend TLC Austin and I will be returning whenever I'm in Austin.

I so wish that I found this place sooner! Food is all amazing but that Atomic Shrimp is crazy!!! Atmosphere is super fun and the staff are all fun and friendly. Side note, you get a free package of crackers every time your server walks over…to be honest, it can end up being a lot of crackers. If any of the owners read this, put a banner out front that mentions the type of food y’all have because it took me too long to figure out the amazing stuff coming out of your kitchen.

Incredible experience thanks to the most amazing waiters Allie and Max. They were remarkable, super kind and helpful. the food was so delicious! The Bubba sandwich was in this delicious crispy bread, the $1 oysters were so good, and the star of the show was the brisket chili!

Chole was our server and she was very knowledgeable about the menu and items that were available today. I enjoyed her walk-off because she had a literal pep in her step. The food was amazing and my Paloma was delicious 😋

Found this spot when searched seafood while in Austin... Easy to find... Park garage next door. Place was well taken care of... Very slow 🤔 at the time... Sunday at lunch.. Had a couple Bloody Marys that were top notch... Had the raw oysters 🦪... They were very good.. Horseradish was good and strong... Hush puppies are off the hook... Very delicious Gumbo... Probably one of the best you can buy... Close to being homemade good. Finally.. we got the lobster 🦞... They did a wonderful job with it... Over all a hidden gem 💎 in Austin..

This place is great. We really liked the gumbo, we like a dark roux and they nailed it. Hush puppies and redfish were excellent. We also highly recommend the cherry limeade made with deep eddy vodka. Also we loved the order and pay from your table application. And you can just keep adding to your order. It makes the process so quick. Our pup loved it here too!

This was my favorite restaurant in all of Austin and the state of Texas while I lived there for a year. It's one of the few places that I miss there! The food is absolutely incredible and delicious! The fried okra was a must! TLC Austin is an absolute treat, and a must when in Austin!

Groovy seafood spot with nice open seating and outside had misters over the table to keep you cool. Happy hour was awesome. Good beers and lots of food choices. Oysters on the half shell were especially good. Stand out feature... App Ordering! Sit at a table and scan QR code for app and menu, pick your stuff and order, and either close out or leave it open for more beer or food as needed! Annnd everyone at the table can order for the same check or split and it comes out fast watch out!

It was a really enjoyable seafood experience. You can either order traditionally through the wait staff or on your phone with their Toasttab QR code system. Your group can even join your tab and order too and you can check out altogether or separately. The Pei Mussels were great. The garlic butter sauce was amazing and flavorful. The raw oysters were so fresh and the horseradish that came with it was on point. You can build your own boil with some options being king crab, snow crab, lobster and shrimp. They had various seasonings and rubs ranging from mild to super hot and you had a choice of various sauces. We went with snow crab with Cajun seasoning and lemon garlic butter. It was great. We also ordered ceviche which was great, but my favorite was the oysters. Once you're done eating, you can use their hand washing machine next to the soda fountain to for easy cleanup.

This is the place you go when you want seafood and care about the quality. I have been here quite a few times. Everyone is always very kind and helpful, like they actually care. The food is very fresh and comes out quick. I like to get the $1 oysters. Fun fact, they make their own sauces. I ordered the brownie (to go) to share with my friends who thought it was absolutely AMAZING. One person took 1/4 of it. If you want good cooking and scratch made food, this is the place. edit: thought the brownie was GF, but it's not, it's still really really good. The kind of good brownie where the crust is crunchy and the center is gooey and stays that way after cooling. I love this place! The service is always ON POINT!

Fresh and delicious oysters. We tried both the gulf and Atlantic. Love them both. Nice open air patio. Perfect for the current weather

Went for the oysters. Pretty good. Service is slightly slow but would come back again because of the food.

Great restaurant. Definitely a little pricey but the food was great. We ordered the Bubba a BBQ shrimp sandwich with Romaine lettuce, avacado, pickled onion and garlic sauce. We tried the salt and pepper grilled asparagus and the Jumbo Texas Gulf Wild Shrimp Stuffed with Cheddar and Jalapeno, Wrapped in Nueske's Bacon and Served with Lemon Garlic Butter. All the food was fresh, hot and very tasty. Servers were friendly and efficient. You scan a QR code and order and pay right from your phone. Very convenient. They have an outdoor patio and even corn hole game set up out front. We'll definitely be back.

Great food. One of the best mules I've ever had. The Mac n cheese and added bacon was also one of the best macs I've ever had. Service was ok...they were changing shifts so we kinda got pushed on a few other waiters. All in all a great experience.

Really really delicious but on my goodness make sure you check Market Prices before you order. It had been a while since I went and I just ordered like normal. 🙃 Market Prices are not in the menu and they had gone way up since my last visit. Really fun and delicious though. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp without the spicy seasoning. Delicious options for low carb, keto, carnivore diets. (I skipped the corn and potatoes)

A seriously great spot. I had dinner with a few folks the other night everything was too-notch: the wait staff was friendly, kind and efficient; the atmosphere was relaxed and modern, welcoming to anyone who wanted good food and good people; and the food was out of this world. I’m not a huge shellfish fan (although my sister’s shrimp were the largest I’ve ever seen and she raved of them), so I got the reddish sandwich. Most fish sandwiches come with a small portion of fish, ya know, the one that’s too small to serve as an entrée? Not here. The redfish was huge, and cooked to perfection. The brussel sprout hash was probably the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time. I could go on about the food for a long time, but the service was awesome too. It’s counter service, so things come out as they are done and I loved that. Everything was piping hot as it arrived. Before it arrived though, we were greeted by staff ensuring we had all we needed. They came by again periodically to ensure everything was as it should be. Highly recommended.

For a place whose specialty is supposed to be boiled seafood, I expected great things from your "one ton" crawfish boil. I should've known to turn around when I was asked which seasoning and dipping sauce I wanted for my crawfish. If you're boiling a ton of crawfish there shouldn't be an option for seasoning nor should one need a dipping sauce. It's difficult to properly boil crawfish to order but you tried(don't). You boiled crawfish in unseasoned water(never do this) and sprinkled them with the chosen seasoning(maybe try seasoning the water) before serving them. This resulted in extremely bland crawfish. There was absolutely no reason to suck the head as the event page(now ironically) suggested because there was no flavor in the heads. If you host another crawfish boil this large you should either rent the proper equipment to boil 2000 pounds of crawfish or hire someone that can do it for you. If this experience is any indication, I suggest that latter. They probably have better taste than your "chef". I can't believe anyone paid to cook would say they enjoyed the crawfish that were served today. The single star is for the wait and management staff who were expeditious in the seating and serving of patrons. While that's always nice, you need more than a solid wait staff and some drawn butter to have a successful restaurant.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. Recently went here with a group of friends and the experience was awesome! The food is fantastic Texas comfort food. My buddy had a lobster plate that was delicious. I had the shredded brisket sandwich which I very much enjoyed. The beer selection is fantastic and the atmosphere is casual and wonderful. It's the perfect dinner (or lunch) spot and located in the middle of everything. Can't recommend this family friendly place enough. :)

TLC is just what south Austin needed. A great place to gather before or after a movie at the Alamo Draft House or catch up with a few friends for some comfort food, shopping and maybe catch some sports on their giant TV!! The menu is full of love!! I loved the Fried Green Tomato BLT!! YUM! Belly on up to their bar for some local beers on tap, their special in-house mixed drinks or your favorite wine. The outdoor patio is perfectly placed so no sun in your eyes but all the warmth you need! I am excited to try out their boils! Come crawfish season, this place will be PACKED!!! I will definitely be back again and again!!

The restaurant is a fun, open space. And, it has some of my favorite things on the menu. Had oysters, fried pickles, and brussel sprouts which were excellent. I’ll come back for the chicken fried steak and seafood. Great comfort food. Nice beer selection. Really enjoyed it!

Went for the crawfish. The atmosphere was a lot of fun. Great food except the crawfish. Waited in line for 2 hours and was very disappointed. The crawfish were not purged enough or cooked well enough. The seasoning was tossed on the top and not boiled into them. I only continued eating because I paid for them and waited that long.

We’ve been waiting for this place to open and id say it was well worth the wait. The food is great and very well priced. The staff is so friendly and the lavender French 75 is delicious. We will definitely be regulars here!

Had the yummiest dinner w/good friends & neighbors tonight. Loved sharing a table with all!!

If you're a fan of Cajun food, this is the spot for you. The ambiance here is casual and welcoming with picnic tables to sit at, live music in the middle, a bar on one side, and an arcade section in the corner with a couple games such as foosball, air hockey, Pacman, and more. I got the One Fine Bird for my entree and it was good, tastes exactly how you'd expect. I did like the radish in it though because it gave it a bit of crunchiness. The food came out quick, the service was good, and the prices are decent. Overall, I left satisfied.

This place is fantastic. Super friendly staff, amazing drinks (try the French 75), and food that is perfection. If you haven’t been here I’m gonna assume that you’re a hermit or just plain stupid. I’d give them 6 stars but it’s not an option!

My new favorite place! Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere is great with sports on giant screens and the food is amazing. AMAZING!The Brussel sprout hash is exciting. I’ve had two boils, the shrimp and the crab are huge. I love the apple pie and the brownie. Soooo goood. All desserts come with a scoop of ice cream too! Seriously, everything I’ve tried is yummy and everyone here is happy to be here and work here and they know their stuff!!!

Our new favorite hangout! Everything we tried was excellent! We look forward to going back with friends. What a refreshing addition to South Austin. Great food (amazing sauces), 30 taps & a fun, friendly atmosphere. I noticed their attention to detail from the best ice to the outlets at each table on the patio. Love it!

Stopped in during happy hour and ended up getting a full meal! Cool atmosphere, the staff was wonderful and the food was delicious!

Delicious food & great hospitality from the staff. If you’re in the area, stop & give TLC a shot. You’ll love it.
