Not a personal favorite overall with some of the items we've tried, but their pork belly bun was definitely the hit. The rest was just okay.

Stopped in on a hot summer day for a snack and a drink. We had already eaten lunch but we were driving by and said, “Let’s just stop for a taste!” We are so glad we did. We ordered the fried beets (photo included in review) and the cucumber salad. They were both perfectly done! Customer service was on point. Food made us smile. Can’t wait to come back when we are hungry…because there is so much more we want to try.

I haven't had East Side King in 3 years. My recent experience surpassed my expectations and was even better than I remembered. If you love the flavors of cilantro, basil, and jalepeño, you'll love the classic bento box.

My love for Japanese food and food served in bowls came together at East side King. Tried the Chicken Katsu bowl and the chicken karaage bowl. Both were delicious with their distinct sauces. The chicken was very flavorful and soft. Their sweet and sour sauce (asked for it as an addition) pairs really well with everything, whether on rice or as a salad dressing for the lettuce included in the bowl.

Great food and fun place. It's more of a Fusion restaurant than a true Japanese restaurant. There's also a small section of Japanese pre packaged snacks and sweets. Food was very delicious. The biggest surprise for us was the beet fries- amazing! We also ordered the pork buns, dumplings, chicken karage. All were delicious. The dining area was fun.

Not only really great Asian fusion food, you can relax with some Japanese beer or my favorite Mexican coke. That make great quality food at all of their location. You must try Pork Qui Buns!!!!!! It is a good appetizer when you don’t eat something too heavy at night

Really good but really different. So glad I came but struggling to see myself returning. The brussel sprout salad was the highlight for me and the beet fries were a pleasant surprise. The parking was a real struggle. This was supposedly a run away hit food truck turned restaurant. A Austin staple and I see why.

Amazing spot with a creative and unique menu. We ordered the veggie bento, beet fries, and edamame and it was a nice, light dinner for two for around $30. Friendly staff and chill atmosphere.

Came right before they closed on a Friday evening. We were the only ones there and got served right away. Beet fries were delicious! The pork belly buns also crispy And worth getting. My dinner was the pork belly with rice 👍🏽. This spot is worth a try!

Greatly enjoyed the katsu and curry dishes. We each had a beet cocktail or mocktail. The beet flavor overpowered everything else so be sure you like beets before ordering these!

The veggie bento box was fresh & had amazing flavor. It's a clean place with a refreshing atmosphere. My boyfriend said the buns here were almost as good as mine.

The Pork Bon was amazing. The brussel sprout salad was the first time I've actually enjoyed brussel sprouts. While I like spice, almost everything was a bit on the spicy side. This may not be for everyone, but anyone who loves spice will enjoy everything here.

Good quality food, consistently delicious. Would order from here more if the staff were more welcoming. More than once Ive been met with a ‘tude when ordering at the register. When I remember, I order online now.
