Review Serrano's Tex-mex Mesquite - Austin

I recently dined at Serranos Cocina Y Cantina and had an exceptional experience. The menu offered a variety of delicious comfort foods perfect for my group. I indulged in the Tejano Tacos and Canistas, both of which were expertly prepared and satisfying. The dishes were beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's attention to detail. The restaurant's location was convenient, with ample parking space. Once inside, I found the ambiance to be spacious and inviting. The dim lighting provided a cozy atmosphere, making it a perfect escape from the Texas sun. Moreover, the service I received was outstanding. Our wait staff was not only attentive but also incredibly helpful. She recommended dishes tailored to our preferences and checked in on us regularly, ensuring our dining experience was top-notch. All in all, Serranos Cocina Y Cantina exceeded my expectations, earning a well-deserved 5 out of 5 rating. I highly recommend this restaurant for its delectable cuisine, excellent service, and comfortable ambiance.

Very, very good! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with great hospitality. We were seated within a few minutes, and had a waitress come by immediately. The atmosphere was very energetic. The chips and salsa was amazing, we also ordered a small bowl of queso, and loved it. I had the Enchilada dinner and my son had the Chile Relleno, and we were both impressed. My son just moved to this area, and this was our first time here, but we will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend.

Our server was phenomenal! Great appetizers, sides, and desserts but I didn’t care too much for the entrees (lacked flavor).

First timer, had the beef enchiladas. So good. Sweet Tea was delicious and so was the regular queso. Waitress was super nice but would often leave my table unattended for big periods of time. Overall, I liked it all though and would go back again.

I frequent Serranos at least once a week usually on a Thursday. I love the whole Serranos Crowd Everyone is so friendly I never meet a stranger there Bartender KK makes it a fun atmosphere and knows her football!!

The food was great. I got the burrito with rice. Did hope for more beans in my burrito. It seemed like it was just meat, but the flavor was there, and it filled me up. The kid meals are a nice sized portion and overall had a good first experience here. Will be returning soon.

Was visiting Austin for the first time and found this amazing restaurant. We decided to eat in the bar area and so glad we did. We were met by the bartender "KK" . She seemed to always have a smile on her face. Very attentive and always checking to see if we needed anything. Both myself and husband both started out having Margarita's. They were some of the best drinks I've ever had. The food was amazing will definitely be back

SÚPER friendly staff! It is a rare treat that I have such GREAT service. From the moment I walked in the hostess was very nice. I wanted to sit in the bar but it was full so she offered to seat me in the high top tables instead. The waiter was super friendly as well. Checking in just enough to not be annoying. I ordered the grapefruit fresco with a chili lime rim. This was my favorite drink even though it was on the small side. The dulce vida grape fruit tequila was paired very well with the other ingredients. I also ordered a limonada de fresa 🍓 I did not like this as much but the drink was a lot bigger. The base of the drink was carbonated water I think that’s why I didn’t like it as much. It took away from the strawberry flavor. If you drink it straight from the shaker with a straw it’s way better and you can taste the strawberries 🍓 I for appetizer I got a half order of nachos. I liked that everything came separately and you can add as little or as much of the ingredients as you like. The only thing I found lacking was the flavor of the beans. You really have to add the other ingredients to make it taste good. For my main meal I had 2 avocado Fritos. With a side of street corn. The avocado 🥑 was fried to perfection! The green salsa on top was super spicy 🥵 I loved it. The size of the tacos was really big as well. I got one corn tortilla and one flour. They are both hand made and I prefer the flour tortilla to the corn. The street corn was great until I hit the onions. There was too many and it kinda ruined it for me. I tried to pick out the onions but there was way too many. Overall I loved everything even the corn 🌽 I highly recommend this place! Come try it!!!

I got lunch here a few weeks ago and it was my first time here. The restaurant has a cutely decorated environment and I was happy to receive attentive service. A friend had recommended it, and I'm glad we chose to go here for lunch because the food is really good, portions are generous, and the prices are more than reasonable for the quality of food, ambiance, and service. I got enchiladas. Serrano's seems like an equally good place for a business lunch than it does for a date or catching up with a friend or family. Would definitely visit again!

I always love this place. The remodel make the restaurant lose a lot of its warmth, in my opinion but the food is still good. I ordered a cheese chile rellano while my mom got a chicken fajita taco with queso and “jalepeno rellanos”. Almost got an order of those to go! Excellent service and good food.
