The Best Coffee I have had in America!
Most American coffee is plain old drip, full of sickly flavoured syrup sweeteners.
Flat Track Coffee made me the best Mocha I have had in a long time and the best coffee I have had since arrived in Texas a month ago!
My wife, baby, toddler and I called in on our way through Austin. The staff were very warm and friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our coffees and croissant, even during a busy Sunday morning rush.
Cool setting next to the cycle workshop with heavy timber tables and there's merchandise available for purchase.
Coffee was great! Service was fast and friendly! Super cool vibe in this unique shop. I’m definitely coming back next time I’m in town :)
It’s a bit small, but if there’s room to hangout, it’s awesome. Drop off the bike for service, have a coffee, bliss. Latte’s are great, Mochas, are great, but that’s all I’ve had here. People are kind and happy to help.
Big fan of what Flat track and cycle east have going on here, was a perfect way to start our first day of our week long bike trip. Cortados were spot on and the drip was excellent as always.
Friendly service, some seating indoors and out front. Cool atmosphere inside a bike shop, industrial feel. Quality coffee (got a cortado with oat milk).
Dope coffee shop with good vibes. Lots of indoor seating and a good place to get some work done as well (laptops welcome). They didn’t have any single origin coffee beans when I came but the blend was still solid. Although I ordered a flat white, it came out more like a cappuccino and overall it was pretty good. Definitely add this coffee shop to your list!
The cafe is half bike store half cafe. I like the vibes. It's kinda dark but still bright at the same time. There's a few long tables and some couches that got good back support. It's also not cold but perfectly room temperature here! They have two free unsecured WiFi networks and outlets around the walls (except not at the couch).
I stopped drinking coffee, but my friends ordered a hot cappuccino and iced latte, which they said were decent but not really that good. The capp could've used more milk/foam and the latte was a bit diluted by the ice. The coffee was not too acidic or bitter, but not smooth in flavor. I guess that means it's just normal coffee.
The buckwheat almond financier was quite sweet, but it is a pastry that's known to be like that.
There's some parking in front and side and on the street.
I'll come back for the vibes, and perhaps try something else.
Coffee and a bike shop. Ordered a Peru pour over and a Cortada. Coffee is delicious and the service is A+++! They had a issue with their machine and it took a few extra mins on the pour over. They offered to refund our order ❤️ but we denied. Great service! Also have a selection of pastries and doughnuts that look amazing. Will return!
Wonderful. Unique spot. Great Third Wave coffee. Very nice baristas and tons of outdoor seating in the front and patio seating out back. Their inside is closed which was a little sad but the patio was very nice. Great croissant as well!
Good coffee with a chill quirky atmosphere— a great spot for bike junkies and coffee addicts alike.
But my favorite detail was in the bathroom. They have this little match box that is cute, suitable, and handy— brings a smile to the face :) Overall, would definitely stop by here the next time I’m in Austin.
Pretty cool coffee shop, there seemed to be a fair amount of people working on the computer and just hanging out there. Suburban setting and definitely a hipster vibe, it was a little expensive but that is to be expected. We had the horchata with expresso and it was excellent!
The barista, wish I had gotten her name, was so so kind. I mean, all of the people I encountered were so genuinely friendly.
The barista made me and my sisters drinks and told us she forgot to make them less sweet like we had asked. She said if we would like it remade, she’d be happy to remake it. She was just so nice about it and normally I would’ve just taken the drink as is, but since she was apologetic, I stood up for my original drink order.
That may make me seem cruel but it also let me test out standing up for myself in a twisted way because she gave me the space to do it. Anyways, I really appreciated the barista in that moment.
Great spot for a coffee and pastry! I had a delicious Americano and my girlfriend had a cappuccino. Get the coffee cake! I just wish I had a bike so I could use all of their services.
Great place to work from home. Some of my favorite aspects:
- the dine-in mugs
- relaxed, relatively quiet environment
- plenty of outlets
- vegan food options
- above average Americano
I'll definitely be returning when I'm in need of a good WFH spot in east Austin.

Great coffee, people, and vibe. All the baristas are friendly. a good amount of seating inside and out. They also usually have pastries and breakfast tacos from a local spot.
Locally roasted coffee that shares a building with a bike shop is sooo Austin. The coffee
options at Flat Track Coffee can make any coffee lover feel like their making the best decision of the day. I visited Flat Track several times during my visit and during my last day I picked up a bike for the day for a price you can’t beat. The most memorable moment was picking up Two quad americanos while my partner was waiting at La Barbecue down the street only to have dropped them while trying to open the door at La Barbecue. Of course I walked back over and ordered two more because they are worth it. When I got back to La Barbecue, my partner was in the same place.

The setting of Flat track was really relaxed and really clean. I love you can take your dog inside with you and the food was wonderful! This is by far one of my favorite places to get breakfast and a coffee before starting my day. Service is nice and fast and I would recommend Flat truck to anyone looking for a place to chill out and grab a light breakfast.
