Deckhand Oyster Bar & Seafood - Austin - Photo album

Great seafood! I loved the raw oysters! The crawfish were good but the flavour could have been better in my opinion. The gumbo was average. Overall very nice meal if you are feeling some seafood. They have Thai food too! Will come back to try some of those dishes!
So this place is a hidden gem. It’s got great seafood but also amazing underground Thai food. Order the Salt and Pepper special, the Rising Phoenix and/or any of the curries. So good. Also the service is stellar. Especially Jane, she remembers folks and makes you feel like a regular. And she’s got g
They were out of fried oysters but the Thai dishes were actually surprisingly good. I really like the environment and the interior design with the neon ambiance and Jimmy Buffett / Key West style decor. There's about 10 beers on tap and the bartenders are always entertaining, cheerful, and super co
Had the salt and pepper soft shell crab with calamari. It was fabulous! Service was superb. Really enjoyed it 😊
I came here so many times for the meaty oyster from the gulf. Thai food is delicious and very close to what I had in Thailand, so some dishes might be salty and spicy.
I have been wanting to try Deckhands Oyster Bar & Seafood in South Austin for many months. I've ordered their Tom Yum numerous times at the Round Rock location as a to-go lunch but never studied the menu. I was super impressed with the amount of Thai and Cajun options that were available and happy
The best Viet Cajun Crawfish in Austin. Don't skip the bacon wrapped Boudin. Perfect balance of spice, liver and rice.
Heather was an amazing server! What a fabulous restaurant! Everything was so delicious and the service was outstanding. Will be back what a great experience. Deckhand oysters, gumbo and snow crab was particularly wonderful. Yuengling beer by the pitcher at a great price. Frog legs were also so
Very good! The menu has all of your traditional American Seafood plates but there's some Cajun and even a little bit of Thai! The Tom Yum soup is awesome! Full of flavor and seafood. Their blackened dishes are done perfectly. The steam veggies could be steamed a tad more but it's fine. Drinks are go
It was very good fried shrimp My friend ordered the catfish He said that was excellent. The hostess and the wait staff were very nice and polite. I would definitely go back!
Thought this was a raw seafood spot. While they do have oysters on the half shell that's about it right now at least. More of a Thai / Cajun infusion. Tasty, huge portions, fair prices.
Clean environment for a crawfish spot. Came on a Saturday night and they were understaffed, as the restaurant was full and there were only 3 or 4 servers in the entire restaurant. We sat ourselves as the host was not present. We ordered crawfish and the spicy seasoning was great mixed with plenty of
I already wrote a review, a great place for sure. Love the variety of food. Want to add that Jayne was great and very helpful. This is a great place with something for everyone. Owner Quinn came by and talked with us. Absolutely give this place a try.
Man, seafood, Soooo Good!! This is another first, gumbo, with salt and pepper calamari, with shrimp for appetizers. We had 2 lbs of shrimp and 1 lb of crawfish boil. The shrimp are huge and flavorful, we got the hot, and not spicy, sooooo good. The place is clean and staff very friendly and very att
