Le Politique - Austin - Photo album

Great food (try the quiche!). Friendly staff. Fun atmosphere. Everyone says it’s expensive but you get what you for :) it’s not over priced for the quality. The pics below are of the patisserie attached to the restaurant but the review stands true for the restaurant as well. Great place to brunch on
While Austin is not overrun with French restaurants, we have a couple of good ones, so I'm happy to report that we've added a great new option. The escargot and steak tartarre hold their own against versions I've had at other restaurants (the snails here are served in an herb pesto and are topped wi
Le Politique has always been solid every time I visit for lunch or dinner. The mussels and fries here are my go-to), and my dining companions have also raved about the steak frites and burger. I'm also a huge escargot fan, though theirs isn't my favorite. However, the star of the show is the Paris B
We just popped in for dessert and the bartender recommended the lemon tarte (which probably had a much fancier name) and the cheese platter. Both were SO yummy! The atmosphere of the restaurant is quaint & I felt like I really was in a French cafe!☺
We had rsvp for Sat at 5:45p and got seated by the back door and immediately asked to be relocated which they’ve accommodated nicely. Started off with side car cocktails which was fantastically made. Nice homemade French bread & whipped butter came shortly after. The small seafood tower was perfec
Lovely ambiance. Great waitstaff and very good food. The oysters were some of the best I’ve had in town (if not flat out the best) and definitely rivaled places like Perlas. The French onion soup was phenomenal. The lunch fixe was quite nice with lovely little steak medallions. For desert we had a m
An out of town friend and I did our birthday month dinner here and it was absolutely fabulous! From the ambiance, to the decor, to the food/drinks, and especially the service, this place became one of my handsdown favs in Austin! We ordered a bottle of bubbly (natch) and we killed it, but our wait
This is a review of the bakery "Patisserie" (not the restaurant). Best pains au chocolat in Austin (and elsewhere!). The turning is perfect. It tastes delicious and buttery, both crunchy and soft. My only regret is the sugar coating on top - that is unnecessary - and the price ($5). But it is so per
Great ambiance, delicious food, and attentive and knowledgeable staff. Love the roasted chicken, gougeres, and escargot. The new crudo is also unreal! Save room for dessert because the bombe au chocolat is out of this world.
What a delightful experience! I’ve been here multiple times for lunch, dinner, and brunch. Hands down the best French onion soup I’ve ever had. The oysters and other cuisine is also fantastic. They have a great wine and beer selection as well. On a nice day we take our dog and sit on the patio for h
Awesome French restaurant downtown. I tried a lot of foods I have never had before and all were great. The cocktails were tasty and for a great price during happy hour!
Le Politique has some of the best oysters we have had in Austin. Their Escargot is wonderful, the perfect garlic to butter ratio. The Mushroom Bourguignon is also yummy, complete with mushrooms that look like scallops in the dish. The only miss was the Moules Frites, The muscles were a bit grainy a
Despite being warned that this place was not very good, we went anyway. I don't know why the warning was because we had a pretty good brunch - that also felt very healthy. The only downside was that they forgot one of our sides and never brought it for us even after we reminded them.
Good food, lively atmosphere. 1st whiskey sour was amazing...hands down the best I've had. The second was bland and watery, otherwise 5 stars all around
Great place for something upscale. Bright eatery with nice staff and excellent food. Affordable, though not cheap, it had some excellent french Staples and twists on the formula
Very picturesque, and the food options were amazing. They also have one of the best French 75s that I’ve ever tried. Their french onion soup was amazing! Would recommend if you’re thinking French!! Their burger is great for brunch as well and they have a killer hazelnut spread.
Really enjoyed this place, there is no "Sunday funday" deals. However, the gorgeous environment and the food was absolutely delicious... come try it out for yourselves... you won't be disappointed 😎😁😉
Really enjoyed the service by Dakota and food was great. Had the steak frittatas, wine, and remarkable dessert. Quite expensive but overall amazing special day.
