Great Little Hudson Bend Secret. It's about the food. Once you find it and taste the food, you'll not forget the delight.
Ate Los pinos after the reopening. Decor is much improved! Quality of food is excellent as are the Mexican martinis. It's a great place to catch up with my old neighborhood buddies.

My favorite place to eat Authentic Mexican Food. Owner is on site and in charge. Food comes out fast and hot.
Recipes are authentic to Mexico, not Tex-Mex. Sauces are delicious. Salsa is wonderful.
The place does lack in decor, but I like Los Pinos just the way it is.
Stop by there while visiting Lake Travis, its right there on Hudson Bend Rd. Locally owned, family recipes. Patio out back. Yummy!

The food was delicious the price was perfect. The only bad thing I have to say is that the service left something to be desired. Waited a while for the check and for the waitress to come and take our card to pay. The food was superb though so waiting a little bit longer than usual was fine we weren't in any rush.
Probably the best in Austin, or at least my favorite. Everything is made there and is tastes outstanding. The staff is friendly and plenty helpful.

Best Mexican Food in Lake Travis area. The food is very fresh and is authentic. As a family-run establishment they have been able to provide homemade Mexican dishes and great service.
Great little dive. It's always a stop on the way to/from the boat. Have excellent fajita and pastor tacos and they're quite a bargain. Two tacos are more than enough for a meal.

While searching for dog friendly restaurants, Los Pinos kept coming up on the search. On a whim, I called and spoke with Mr. Maldonado (chef/owner) and inquired whether they were actually a dog friendly restaurant. Mr. Maldonado couldn't have been more gracious when he explained that No, they were not technically a dog friendly restaurant, but he made a point to insist that we come to the restaurant and he would accommodate us and our dog. He greeted us at the door and took us to a separate dining room where we could dine in peace with our dog and the other customers would not have to be bothered by dining with a dog. Service was spot on, food was delicious and and the Specials were fantastic. Definitely a "go to" restaurant, especially if you're looking for a gracious, friendly, delicious and accommodating owner and restaurant. We will definitely be going back.

Since discovering this place almost 2 years ago, we have been big fans! We follow a low carb/keto lifestyle BUT we like to have the occasional cheat meal. When we want Mexican Food, this is one of our go-to spots.
My husband and I really like the salsa, especially when it's spicy and on the more chunky side. Because we consider this a cheat meal and like to splurge, we usually get the regular chili con queso with our chips to enjoy, too. Sometimes we even save some for our tacos! The queso is really creamy and we enjoy it.
My husband usually orders 4 crispy tacos with a side of sour cream which is a lot of food! He doesn't get any rice or beans or sides and it fills him up.
I order the Chicken Tejano (I think) with no mushrooms and substitute the rice and beans for mixed veggies. I thought it used to be a grilled chicken, but I've recently noticed it is slightly battered. I will see if they can do it with grilled chicken next time so I can keep it as low carb as possible (even though I eat the chips, ha).
The service is typically really quick and our food comes out fresh, hot and rather fast. Sometimes I have to wait for my meal to cool down before I can even take a bite.
I will say there is an additional charge if you pay by credit card, so be sure to have cash on you when you stop in!
It is more of a "hole-in-the-wall" style and a bit off the beaten path, but it's definitely worth a stop in in my opinion.
We read the mixed reviews but decided to try this restaurant since it was close to where we were staying & allowed dogs. We called the restaurant to confirm they allow dogs & the owner said most definitely. We were seated in a separate area (so the dog wouldn't disturb anyone) & was served the most delicious Mexican food (chicken fajita quesadillas & 6 street tacos). This restaurant is a MUST if you're in the area!
My sister got her wife a heart shaped box to fill with tacos for valentines day, we took the box here and they went above and beyond for us! Amazing customer service, will definitely come back! The rest of our food we ordered was good was good too!!
This is one of the more authentic Mexican places around Lakeway. Great salsa! Loved the Mexican martini and enchiladas. The fried ice cream is a must have! Great prices as well and friendly staff.
I loved their mango margarita. We ordered chicken fajitas, veggie quesedilla, chicken chalupa, fish taco and veggie chalupa. All the dishes were just yummmmm. And their salsa was just the best. I am Indian and love spicy food and the salsa nade my night. We literally mixed it with all our dishes.
We eat here quite often. So I go for chicken enchilads and cheese one, We like the Chile con Carne sauce and love the verde sauce. We get the charro beans and refried. We love the spicy salsa and always get two. One son loves the Chile relleno and the other whatever the special is.
Breakfast is awesome and his is sizzling sausage n peppers with eggs on top and I get cheese enchiladas with eggs on top. Also fajitas were fantastic! We always get tea or coffee. Service has always been great. It is not flashy just a locals type place.
My other half says you can beat the prices even when they had to increase. His taste buds are very tough to please and require a lot of flavor. My taste buds are in the middle and I love it. If you have acute taste buds like you put nothing on you baked potato you may not like it. They use a lot of flavors.
Guacamole is good too. Taco salad was great too. My kids loved it. It is our regular favorite each week.
Super friendly with a side of great food. This quaint little restaurant was pretty crowded when we got there, but there was still open seating. We were sat right away and served quickly with a tasty margarita. The enchiladas were great, but not too much. Highly recommend this joint.
So I am a very selective person, especially when it comes to Mexican food. I am extremely impressed with their food, it is absolutely delicious...very well-made, very tasty and homemade flour and corn tortillas. I totally recommend their food here... I wish I could post better photos of other tacos I’ve eaten, but here is a photo of their Barbacoa taco or meat no fat! It’s a MUST try! This was their special today, the Tomahawk Ribeye plate! 😋
You need to go and be wowed by the dining experience of the beautiful crafted creations of freshly prepared food. Amazing!

We usually come with 6-8 friends & this one things stops us from going . Everyone else has Staff ….and a POS System to easily let me & or out of town friends or 1 parent w2 kids Pay their OWN bill . Instead some pay too much or too little . Mark pays Credit Card ( add 3.5% ) to his bill plus his own tip , & Rhonda throws down cash with tip and rolls out . Leaving everyone else to figure out how to pay their fair amount. NO one buys Exactly the same bill ! A lot easier to go to any other Restaurant. We eat out with multiple friends multiple times a week.
