The League Kitchen & Tavern

You know what makes a great restaurant manager? Someone like Nicole at The League. She talked to every customer that I could see, including us at the bar, to make sure everyone was happy. You just dont see that. It is not rocket science, just make sure your customers are satisfied, and the restaurant will be successful. Nice, you rock. Oh, and the bar service rocked and so did the foid!!!

We had a great brunch here. Service was great. Food was really good. The only down side is that the restaurant was freezing! I normally love cold temperatures, but it was really cold. We told the staff and they said they would adjust it. Staff was very friendly. Service was quick. Next time I'm in Austin, I will come back here.

Very friendly and helpful staff. My wife and I wanted to split our orders and they happily split our plates. We had some tomato soup and the fish and chips. The fish and chips were awesome. Well done batter that was crispy and the cod cut made it very British like. Ask for malt vinegar and it will taste even more authentic. I prefer double fried American style fries over the British style chips so I really enjoyed the French fries here with the fish. Restaurant is also well decorated. Looking forward to coming back here!

The people were awesome, the atmosphere was on point, and the drinks were solid. The food was good but not amazing. A solid attempt but not five stars on this trip. The fish in the fish and chips was pretty bland and the short rib stroganoff was decent but not hot and a bit bland. We will definitely give it another try though.

I could say a mouthful about the league, for starters the portions are more than a mouth full. My personal favorite the “Society Burger” m.rare all the way has been my go to on each visit. I haven’t explored too much of the menu but the items I’ve devoured and enjoyed have been great. The location is perfect half a mile away from the house which makes for a perfect pit stop and or craving destination. Stopped there once for a post run meal and a beve to celebrate my first 10k and the staff made me feel like I won a championship. They where just as excited(although I was exhausted) as I was and it showed in their service. Great food, great beve’s, great staff, great location with no great debate, Hands down their leading the league in some major statistical categories in my book. First time customers, we went at an odd time about 4pm yesterday on Saturday. Only a couple other people were there so I began to worry that this may not be a very good place to eat, I WAS WRONG. The host opened the door for our stroller, smiled and was super friendly. Our waitress was just as friendly and attentive. Portions were large and fresh. The fried pickles are sweet just FYI, I’m more of a dill pickle lover but my family really liked them. The fries are real fresh cut fries, not frozen & we’re DELICIOUS. We shared the club sandwich, it’s plenty for two people plus the fries. My husband ordered the sweet brussel sprouts and said they were the best he’s had! My family also ordered the shrimp salad and burger with fries and both said it was great. We will be back!
