Service with a smile. Delicious food! Every time I eat here, I have early childhood food memories. As a chef, that to me is what you do when your great. To transport someone to another place bite for bite. Sawyer & Company is the real deal...

Love, love LOVE Sawyer & Co.! Amazing food and the staff is always great to interact with. There's nothing on their menu that I've tried and did not like. My only "complaint" is that the Trailer Park is always too big and I can never finish it all but ... I sure put up a good fight! I do have some feedback: I think there could be a bit more flavor/spice to the chili. It's good..but could be kicked up a notch. and secondly, I hope there's plan of redoing the patio area after the freeze took most all plants out of Austin this winter. And the cushions/furniture...they look so dirty/falling apart that I wouldn't want to sit on them. But we LOVE this place and frequent it very, very often. Always bring folks that have never been before or visiting town.

Had a fabulous brunch there today. Trendy place. Comfortable and varied dining areas inside and out. Mid century interior. Delicious food and good service. Had crabmeat eggs benedict with grits and biscuit. Easy and adequate parking. Go there! A nice experience.

A friend of mine recommended this place a while back. Never disappoints me when I come in. The coffee too is really good I normally do not order coffee because it's weak and I drink espresso. The coffee wakes me up.

Very cool decor, cute 1970s decor. The service was good, but the food was amazing! We did met the owner and his baby. He was walking around with her checking on table. Super kind. Brunch was awesome!

Love this new spot with a bit of a hipster mid-century mod diner feel.  The menu contains exciting new dishes with a Cajun flair.  The concept sounds a bit weird, but it totally works!  We went for breakfast, but will be back soon to try more.

Sawyer is a cute spot on the East Side. The food is ok, I had the Frito Pie Benedict and it was good, but not healthy at all. I felt my arteries clogging just eating it. The inside is really loud and the booths are small. I have lanky legs, so I would have rather sat at a table. The wait for Sunday Brunch was about 45 minutes and there wasn't much room to stand inside, since it was raining outside. This was during SXSW, so the crowds may reflect that.

Sawyer. WAY above most of what I have seen in Austin.
Go there on any other day but weekends. (includes breakfast)
Too darn busy, and the wait's too log.
My favorite times are weeknights for dinner.

Beautiful midcentury modern restaurant. You feel like you should probably be in a poodle skirt in order to eat here. The service was great. We had the shrimp and grits and mufallata. Both were pretty good.. not great. It feels as if the food could be modernized a bit even if the atmosphere holds onto the past. The grits had hardly any salt, but the shrimp was overly salty, making for an awkward meal. The shrimp were also on the small side, although there were plenty. The fried okra was pretty great.

This was wonderful. Austin eats on point. It has proper decor, vibe, wonderful background music. Amy, my waitress, was soooo on point! I did a long lazy brunch, part inside, part outside on the patio. I went with the Spanish Scramble, added ham and avocado. Chose the biscuit and grits, and Irish coffee, and a Bloody Mary. It's 100% worth it. Next time, I was told the chicken Fried chicken is top-notch. I'll be back!

This brunch was amazing. Came here with a large group and have to say, the service was excellent. Their brunch and drink menus are extensive, and the service is also very fast. Their Bloody Mary’s come with a biscuit and huge chunk of bacon on top. You get a lot of bang for your buck, with the drinks being HUGE and the portions of food being true diner portions. Absolutely loved this place, would definitely come back!

Second time at this place and lovely... just a great over experience. Tonight was crowded. Love the dinner atmosphere. The food is true Louisiana food... unless I've lost my Louisiana taste bud card. The cajun scramble is really good, good grits, loved the boudin balls, had the Catfish Orleans Tonight and the catfish fried perfectly the way I like it... having a crispy fried texture and the crawfish etoufee is down home good. Price is affordable and taste way better than a lot other Cajun creole restaurants. Now if I can get them to make crawfish pies and meat pies. Oh and they have outdoor heating... sit outside.

Have come here many times and love every experience. Coming from a Cajun family, I'll confidently say their etouffee and red beans & rice are AMAZING🤌 I get the Benedicts every time and it's always great. Service is on point!

A taste of home. Staff is courteous and attentive. Espresso Martini recommended (I don’t even like vodka, I can’t get over this thing)… and the Sawyer Benedict (without ham for me, cooked as ordered). Love it! Great undiscovered secret of the city.

The mid century modem interior of the place was stunning and many elements were from the original building built in 1940s. Jess our serve was so friendly and knowledgeable. The food was very good as well, the Louisiana Cajun items were delicious.

Nice, little, breakfast joint with a retro-vintage vibe! Lots of dishes have a little Cajun flare to them which adds a little something different to the standard American breakfast. Nice touch! Atmosphere - 5 Lost Bread (aka French Toast) - 5 Gaston Scramble - 4 Biscuits & Gravy plate - 4 Would definitely eat here again!

Lovely place for brunch, their outdoor patio has lots of seating with shade. Their B.L.A.T and potatoes are some of the best I’ve had, will definitely be coming back!

Great little local 'diner' experience! I sat at the counter and ordered the ½ Fried Catfish Po-Boy Sandwich. It was served fast and hot. Very tasty - the bread they put it on is delicious. Nice atmosphere too. Would h8ghly recommend for breakfast or lunch.
