Food is on point every time. They have great deals like half off oysters on Wednesdays. They're slightly upscale attire but you can show up in a T-shirt and they welcome you warmly like anyone else. We like to get one of everything from the raw bar menu. Sitting at the bar and chatting with the staff is nice but if you're at a table, see if you can be seated in Dustin's section (he's amazing). If you haven't been to Mongers in this landlocked town, you're missing out.

Our first time visiting Mongers and won’t be the last. The foods were delicious. Highly recommend the beet salad and red snapper. Oh definitely get the Olive Oil Cake, it’s mouth watering. Our waiter, Dustin was exceptional in serving us and was so kind. Dustin made our date night much more enjoyable.

Red snapper is the restaurant’s signature and must try. Besides, mussels are good and tasty. The restaurant looks hidden from outside but opens to a nice decor and spacious room inside.

The food was delicious; the atmosphere above average - a bit chilly. Our wait person sometimes seemed overwhelmed once the place got busy, but she was pretty attentive. Prices are moderate. (Several items were dependent on the market price. ) There's *nowhere* to park! However, if one loves seafood, I recommend Mongers and would go again.

I enjoyed a full meal during my first visit to Mongers. I catch it during the downtime hours between lunch and dinner. I chooses to sit at the bar and got the best attention out of being the only patron at the time. Dishes showed up in a reasonable time, allowing an little break in between. The fish was a little bit overdone for me, but still juicy and flavorful. Overall taste was gentle and complementing. Shrimps were good. And so was the chocolate pudding. As it happens more often than not, the dessert menu has 4 basic item: two cakes, one flowerless ganache and this chocolate pudding. I get it, its a seafood place, not a patisserie. But any kind of creativity would be fun. Nevertheless, pudding was good and made in house. Overall, I enjoyed my quick neighborhood find.

Amazing dinner tonight! Best gumbo we’ve ever eaten. Red snapper is the signature dish and it was really great too. Add the Brussels sprouts. Great date night. Went early and sat at the bar. Wait staff was superb. Loved it and we will do that again!

Really incredible food and service!! Easily one of the best restaurants I've been to. Everything was superb - the selection of east coast oysters was delightful, highly recommend the beau Soleil oysters from New Brunswick. The scallops and snapper were to die for. The desserts - key lime pie and a miso orange caramel topped flourless chocolate torte - were legitimately the best of their kind, so glad we saved room for dessert. They were *extremely* accommodating with my gluten allergy, and the menu inherently has many delicious gluten free options. Every item we tried had clearly been thought out carefully and made by people who enjoy their work. The server was knowledgeable about the entire menu and so welcoming. The only thing I would change would be to ask for larger portions, since it was all so good!

First time here from the good reviews and we're happy for our decision. The happy hour is a good way to have a little bit everything of their dishes especially for a first-time-visitors. Every staff we spoke to was very friendly and professional. The foods was fresh and delicious. We had a good time there and sure we'll be back to try their regular dishes too.
