El Naranjo - Austin - Photo album

Wonderful dinner with friends and the food and service was outstanding. We each ordered a different selection so we could try multiple dishes - verify, all were wonderful. Chef de la Vega's ability to balance multi-levels of flavors was perfect in each selection.
Fantastic meal and drinks at El Naranjo! The best mole I’ve had, great depth of flavor and matches so well with the chicken! The meats are so tender and fantastic, the tortillas were fantastic as well!!! If anyone wants some good mole, this is the place!
It's one of my favorite spots in austin! The best authentic and flavorful latin foods. amazing drinks and micheladas! It's definitely a place to visit and try out!! hidden gem for sure! 💎 👏👌
The food is good if you’re not used to having good Mexican food. Tortillas taste authentic and housemade. Drinks are delicious. Skip the mole negro, it was average tasting. we had an early dinner and they were out of coconut flan. Service was good.
I came to Austin to visit my niece. We had Sunday Brunch. While the photo does depict the level of deliciousness she really enjoyed their interpretation of Huevos Benedictos which are two poached eggs eggs over a corn gordita, cured loin and Chile de Arbol, infused Hollandaise and sautéed potatoes
This place is absolutely delicious! The ambiance, the vibe, the atmosphere, all amazing. The staff is phenomenal! Appetizers: Ceviche de la Semana - 4/5 Tostaditas de Atun al Chintextle - 5/5 Queso Oaxaca Fundido - 5/5 Entrees: Camarones y Hongos a la Macha - 4/5 Chuletas de Cordero - 5/5 Desse
Such a cute little spot! With excellent, authentically delicious Oaxaca dishes too. The chef was so nice to come and greet all the tables at opening. The café de olla (which comes with free refills) and the hot chocolate are fantastic drink options for brunch.
Everything is made from scratch at this restaurant, and it shows! Our cocktails were fresh and delicious. My husband thought his Margarita was the best he's ever had. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful. The mole was delicious, as was the beef short rib. We shared a tree leches cake for dessert
Really great food here. Our dining party enjoyed our delicious meal. My favorite was the boneless beef short ribs, some of the best short ribs I've tasted. My margarita clasica was very tasty. Can't wait for my next visit.
This place is tucked away and could be easily missed. Definitely make a reservation because the seating is limited. Our server, Julie, was so sweet and took the time to make recommendations. They have complimentary bread and special butter and sauces to match. The food was rich and the serving size
Really nice staff and fantastic drinks. The food here was good and it seems like a great place for a group.
Fantastic experience. Our waiter, Alejandro, was very attentive and provided great recommendations. The margarita’s are some of the best in Austin. The original and the tamarindo are a must! We tried a little of everything, guacamole, queso fundido con chorizo, beef rib, pork shank and the chicken v
Incredible interior Mexican food, by a renowned chef. It’s a bit expensive, but worth it for a special occasion or I guess daily if you are a baller. Decent selection of plant based dishes, though everything on the menu looked amazing. Make sure to try the salsa matcha.
The food here is unlike anything else you can get in Austin. The only reason I have to give this restaurant four stars is that it’s impossible to hear each other. For me, the entire point of a meal is to enjoy great food and great company. El Naranjo certainly delivered on the great food, but the r
Came here for a celebration dinner - given the chef’s accolades, our expectations were high. The food was good - we got the duck mole and the sea bass. The sea bass was definitely the best dish - it had a great combination of flavors, the peppers were cooked just enough to still have crisp and the s
We had a decent meal here: the cocktails were tasty and the menu had many of the authentic Mexican fare. My favorites were the empanadas and the crustless basque cheese cake. I will echo what many other reviewers have said, which is that the food was a bit pricey.
This place was exceptionally delicious. Their queso was great, the duck mole was good (although I wish the skin was more crispy). The lamb was also fantastic. Their tortillas they give with the mole/queso are fantastic. Atmosphere was great and the drinks were all delicious I really liked the res
