Good things come to those that wait. Yes, there's usually a wait. Yes, there usually crowded. It's because they serve up awesome food for reasonable prices while providing excellent service. This ultimate seaside breakfast is just my latest example of why I come here often. Fried catfish was impressive but the Sassy scramble and shrimp and grits will have you wanting to slap someone's momma.

Don’t walk, Run to thumbs up & get the fish fillet! It’s cooked to perfection every time and you’ll wonder what type of magic they’re doing in the kitchen. The biscuit with strawberry jelly is my go to. The scrambled eggs are good also. I’m not too crazy about the grits but the fish is the main attraction.

I was so hungry, and I Googled for hashbrowns. I was surprised they had my favorite on the board. It was a great meal. I wish they gave more grits with the meal. But the entire meal was truly yummiest. This will be a place I would say great for family or friends. Great place to have a office luncheon as well.

When I first ordered from this place the food was good and I had no problem with it. So this morning when my husband said he wanted some breakfast I said I will order some food from Thumbs up Diner. Oh how disappointed we were. The food was horrible and when I tell you we threw away 26 plus dollars worth of food I am not lying. If I used my card I would have stopped the transaction. I ordered turkey bacon for him and they put ham on his scramble not to mention they put more potatoes then they should have, the pecan pancakes were so dry and tasteless and the grits were watery. When I called they were so nonchalant about it. Just horrible!!! I don't want anyone to have the experience we had here.

For a Sunday during brunch, the wait was not extremely long. The server was nice and polite. Food came in reasonable time, given how busy it was. We ordered the shrimp and grits, it was okay, not the best I’ve tasted. Omelette was soft and fluffy, veggies were roasted evenly. The chicken sandwich and onion rings tasted better than the others. Rings and chicken breast were fried to perfection. Overall it was a nice experience. I think they handled a stressfully busy morning, very well. I’ll be going back.
