Pollo Tropical

The food the always great if they have what you want. The second time in a two week span they didn’t have something. Ordered the half chicken. They literally cut the breast in half and counted it as two pieces. They didn’t have lids for the cups. My salad was placed in a sandwich box. Oh and to top it all off I had to wait a good 15-20 minuets. Like come on. When is corporate going to get involved? The store manager needs to do a better job of ordering products.

The food is good but the management of this location is horrible. The tables are always dirty and they take forever to complete your order. The saucing island is generally a big mess. One customer fell on her back because she slipped on a wet floor. I've gone to Marietta location and it's a completely different experience. Clean tables, fast and friendly service. The new cashier at this location though is very friendly and helpful.

Well...they run out of certain sides after about 7:30 pm, and the wait time can be quite long at times. What galls me, however, is that they've gotten my order wrong my last three visits. The first time it happened I had already left the restaurant and wasn't driving back; so I now check my order before I leave to ensure that it's correct. The food is good, but check your order for accuracy.

My first visit I ordered the 1/2 grilled chicken with yellow rice & veges plus steamed green beans. Although this was about 5:30 there were very few customers there. The service was indifferent at best. The eye appeal of the dish was OK and the portions were good. The chicken was very unremarkable! No Caribbean flavor that I could detect. The rice was very dry and bland. It didn't look anything like the picture on the menu that showed plenty of veges. The green beans were also bland and lacked any fresh taste. Although I was very hungry I only ate about 1/2 of the meal. Overall I was very disappointed and and don't plan to return.

I heard the couple before me ask for several items on the menu and the cashier said they were out. When it was my turn to order, I asked here what are you out of? She proceeded to tell me. I said great I will have the vegetarian bowl. Place my order proceeded to get my drink. No mango ice tea. Another employee was near and she said I will get it. Great, not so great. She had a mop in her hands and wanted to touch my clean cup with those dirty gloves. 😯 They called my number I am ready to eat. I arrive to the counter only to find out they are out of some of the items I wanted in my bowl. He said we can give you extra. No thanks return my money please I will go across the street to Moes.

I generally like Pollo Tropical food but the service at this location is terrible. It is routinely bad but today was awful. Exceptionally slow service even though the restaurant was not busy at all. Half the containers at the sauce bar were completely empty. They were calling out wrong numbers for carry out orders. I saw one person just place a carry out order on the counter without calling out any number, leaving a customer to come hesitantly check out the contents to see if it was theirs. The other customers were clearly frustrated with how long it was taking to get carry out orders. When my carry out order was called, it had been plated for dine in. When I informed the counter person of this, he turned around, grabbed a couple of carry out containers and tossed them on the counter in front of me. "Seriously?" I asked. He said that was all he could do. No apology, no thank you, just attitude and a complete lack of customer service. After I packed up my food in the containers and began to walk out, a coworker of his asked why he had not given me a bag for the order. When he told her of what happened, she laughed and walked off. My best recommendation to customers: do not go to this location. My best recommendation to Pollo Tropical: get down there and take your name off the building if you value your reputation. The food? Just okay.
