I was unpleasantly surprised by the service here. It was very slow. From what I noticed, there was only 1 server for the entire restaurant and the manager was helping her. And 1 bartender. The restaurant was not that busy but it's definitely not a job for one server only. We ordered drinks which we got in an acceptable time frame. Then we ordered appetizer that we got fairly fast but she was running around and never took our dinner order. We waited for 20 min, finished our appetizer and then went inside to look for her so we can order. To be fair, we did get our food really fast. But the quality was really not as expected from a high class looking restaurant like this one. The bolognese was sweet, probably made with coconut oil, and that overtook the flavor. The gyro is definitely not what a gyro should look like, even in a plate. Doesn't come with a side, not nearly as enough pita bread, and missing ingredients. I have had a lot of better gyros in fast food restaurants. They did try their best but it just didn't meet my expectations.

Lots of variety in the menu, we each ordered something different and everyone agreed that overall the experience was positive. We ordered the snapper, egg plant parm, lemon cod, and lobster ravioli. The drinks were great and the dessert was just soo yummy. Overall the prices are fair. There was 4 for dinner and the bill was not outrageous, service was good, and food was great. Will definitely return.

Excellent food. Menu is extensive and high standard. It is fine dining. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Ideal for those who want a romantic night out. We learned that they have a valentine's day special with their most favorite menu item $150 for couples 😉 For the starters we had Tarama , Saganaki, Skordalia .I had to return the Tarama, I tried caviar from other places but for some reason this one was super heavy for me. I ordered their Lolly-pop Lamb chops and I enjoyed every bite of it, perfectly cooked to my taste. My husband tried Chicken Kabob and he also liked it . Their beer selection was better than most of the places we have tried . And you can't go wrong with Moscoto D'asti . Dessert was exceptionally good. Baklava cheese cake was different and I really liked it . My spouse also liked his dessert. He also ordered a cup of Greek coffee but we ended up receiving a delicious Turkish coffee 😊 Everyone here has been mentioning how the service was great, but we were unlucky on that part .Our server was pretty slow but he still provided fine service. The hostess was very friendly. I highly recommend this place for fine , quality dinning.

Basil's is a great place for finer dining Greek cuisine in the Aurora/Naperville area. The atmosphere is comfortable and friendly, and this is helped by the courteous, friendly staff. I haven't been to Basil's in some time and it was nice to come back and see that it's still going strong. And this applies to the food as well. All the dishes my party got were on point and very good. Of course, their saganaki was excellent. And my dessert (see picture) was especially good. Overall, I had a great time and a good dining experience at Basil's, and I'll try to come back more often.

Such delicious dishes! Basil’s has a secret…amazing traditional Greek dishes like Moussaka and Skordalia but lighter and still delicious…impeccable service that is friendly and chill…creative bar? YES! Beautiful on site dining experience with Uber that doesn’t disappoint…what more could we want? Go there.

Best place for a Christmas eve dinner. The grilled calamari is amazing with great flavor. The lamb loly pops were the most tender I have ever had. Juicy and flavorful. I shared some Dolmades that were also very flavorful with a creamy lemon sauce that added a nice finish. The avgolemeno soup is the hallmark staple you have to have every time regardless. The wait staff was the most attentive and professional. Never went without water and service was very fast yet perfectly timed between courses.
