Pockets

I was in Chicago for a business venture when I got hungry and went to Pockets for lunch together with a relative who lived near here. The have really good food here. Service is great and fast. For a guy like me, being fast is a big plus. This place is definitely great for having delicious and healthy lunch. I approve and recommend this to everyone.

I first started eating at Pockets in the 90s when I lived in Lincoln Park, and I got this location every time I'm in the area. The veggies are crisp, proteins are good and the blue cheese has solid flavor. And the bread is excellent... Put a bit of light ranch on it all and you've got a great meal.

I was in this location not to long ago, and I would have to say the food is pretty decent. But I do have a few complaints. 1. I have been a Pockets eater for a few years now, and recently the prices have sky rocketed. Almost $9 for a salad?!? 2. Unprofessionally, I saw, whom I am assuming is the boss, sending an employee home in front of the customers sending the employee home. From what I got out of it was that the employee should not over-ride the boss *But if anybody knows anything about having a great environment, it is that the boss and employees should be able to come to a mutual agreement and work together. 3. I have ordered a baked potato before, expecting it to be made out of the oven, but I watched the workers place a potato in the microwave. Don't get me wrong I have received many good meals out of this company. It just this location should really get the boss into shape and recognize many issues that stand in their way of receiving my business again. If I am paying outrageous prices, I should be receiving nothing less than extraordinary food.

Love this place. Sandwiches are huge and delicious. The staff is great and the management knows how to treat it's customers. The facility is clean and well kept. I really enjoy the southwest chicken pita. The Calzone is also a favorite. Pricing isn't all bad, you might pay a few bucks less at McDs but you likely won't walk away with extra food from McDs. Not to mention this is way healthier than McDs.

I was the only one in the restaurant and felt ignored when I stood at the counter to place my order. I had to wait and what's not greeted by either of the 2 employees working when i visited. There was a lot of different choices of food,I want pizza unfortunately they did not have a personal size. Food was good.
