Papa John's Pizza

I ordered two large pizzas yesterday afternoon for my kids. A door knocks and my son answered the door. A delivery person was standing there talking with my son. She was holding a basket full of plates, utensils, red peper and cheese packages. As soon as I arrive to the door, she introduces herself, Mary, and shakes my hand. I have never seen a pizza delivery person who is so friendly and well organized. Usually, almost all pizza delivery persons are always in a hurry and forgets something... But, Mary is just incredible! She takes time to make each delivery special. I wish all pizza delivery staffs take lessons from her. She is doing something right. Mary, two thumbs up. You are AWESOME!!!

When I arrived to pick up my carryout order,I was told they forgot the pineapple on one pizza and were making a new one now. When I finally received my order, I left trusting that they got it right. WRONG! I ended up with one pizza that I did order, but they added onions. The other pizza was not meats like I ordered, but anchovies and tomatoes and the side was not the side we ordered. The pizza box has my name on it while the side box has another customers name, address, and phone number. I called to get this corrected and the guy couldn't figure it out. I had him cancel the correction and ordered from somewhere else.

I had given some of my employees gift cards to Papa Johns for doing a good job at work. They tried to order pizza online but the website couldn't find our address. So then they called into this store to order and told them the issue with the online ordering and proceeded to take the order. Once they got to the payment part they told them that they don't accept papa johns gift cards!! We tried to call the other two papa johns locations near us and they both told us that the one who denied us service in the first place was the only one in our delivery area. I guess we will be getting dominos or pizza hut from now on since papa johns doesn't want our business.

Mary is the best! This was the second time Mary has come to my door and both times she called me to let me know when she was on her way. Once she got here she asked if I needed any cheeses, peppers or paper plates. There was also a promo code written on top of my pizza box with a quote "live like no one else" by Dave Ramsey. Mary has the best personality and is unlike any other pizza delivery person, (and I order pizza a lot) she makes you feel like your best friend showed up to your door with a nice hot pizza. She really goes above and beyond and deserves some type of recognition. Thank you Mary for all that you do and Papa Johns is lucky to have a person like you.

Worst customer service I've seen. Pizza took twice as long as the quoted time stated (22-32 mins took almost an hour) When we did receive our pizza it was smashed and the cheese and toppings were stuck to the top of the box. I don't normally complain but it's happened a few times now. I write a formal complaint stating the issues above and this is the response I was given. Dear Joshua, Quote times are estimates. We do not take these issues lightly and your feedback will be used to improve our ability to serve you in the future. It is a shame... I've been going to Papa Johns for 20+ years but it's definitely taking a turn for worst. Lost a faithful customer over this.

Please beware! I went into the store for a carry out. There was only one person working and taking orders. I thought this was strange because the same person should not be handling food and answering phones and taking orders...seeing as the phone and computer surfaces are absolutely disgusting filled with germs. I thought he would wash his hands or put on gloves, but he didn't. I waited to see if he would wash his hands when he started making my pizza dough but he didn't! He went straight from the handling the phone and computer to preparing my dough. I nicely asked for my money back and left.
