It is literally underground. You walk down the stairs under the sidewalk. The atmosphere is amazing! I ordered a Joe Burger and sloppy fries on the side and they were delicious! One the best burgers I've ever had.

Joe's Underground is the definition of a fun dive bar. They have different genre nights and karaoke nights where you can scream sing to your hearts content. Open late for your "after party" weekend needs when you aren't ready to go home yet!

Husband and I came for the CWA show. Nick the bartender was so rude and disrespectful. I, a 26 year old adult did not have my ID, so he refused me a drink which is fine. He was following rules. However he did not card others. After that my husband proceeded to purchase a drink for HIMSELF and nick advised that he was not allowed to serve my husband a drink although he had his ID.. he was rude about it, fanned his hand at mt husband and told us to leave. Asked to speak to the manager he stated he was the manager and was rude. Not necessary to turn away money. Very unprofessional and rude. Do not recommend to any of my fellow medical school classmates

Nice place and nicest bartender ever!!! Our second favorite place in Augusta. Nick is a great bartender and host. Just don't go in one time, anywhere, and expect five star treatment.

What a fantastic, fun, and welcoming little joint. Outstanding staff and safe environment. First visit was for a drag show, all safety standards were in place. The show was awesome. Everyone was friendly. Good sound system, clean floors and tables. Fun and creative decor. when in Augusta, be sure and check out Joe's Underground Cafe
