Always excellent. This is one of our favorite places to eat. The menu changes seasonally, but they always keep a few tried and true recipes around with the new, for when you aren't feeling quite as adventurous. The potato salad is to die for. I can't honestly say that we enjoy the tea of the day, but I'm southern, I just want plain ol' sweet tea. So we get the unsweetened version and being our own raw sugar syrup. I would be completely amiss if I didn't mention the scones! Served with every meal, we like taking an extra serving home to enjoy for breakfast the next day! I can't say we've ever had a bad meal here, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food!
This is the best place to be they are so sweet and the atmosphere is the best. The food never fails from different seasonal teas and the scones are delish!!! I love the waiters and everything about this place men and my girls travel an hour out just to enjoy this place!
Very cute tearoom and great lunch. We started the meal with fresh scones with cream cheese spread. I had the Grilled Chicken salad with coconut and pineapple, and my wife had the chicken salad over greens with side of fresh chicken soup. A little pricey, but well worth it.
Took some sweet Gen Xers to tea and had a great time! They pencilled us in at the last minute and had a full high tea ready for us! Tea can be enjoyed outside on their lovely veranda or inside in the quaint bungalow. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and the food delish! They were arguable the best scones I’ve ever had at a tea room! Enjoy!
High tea service. Choices of individual pots of tea was varied & delicious. The collard green & ham soup was delicious. The peach cobbler scones were the best scones I've ever eaten. Service was excellent. Plans to return to try luncheon menu.
They have some great tea to say the least. I got hooked on their Paris tea, which is an almond vanilla tea. Then they have a different tea each week and their scones are to die for. I love their seasonal scones such as the white chocolate pumpkin spice scones. I suggest everybody go there and buy some tea or even sit down for lunch because this establishment has an all around great experience.
Sweet Magnolias is a quaint and inexpensive restaurant that has become my favorite lunch location. My mother-in-law and I went for lunch on a weekday afternoon with no reservations, but within minutes of walking in they were able to get us seated. The lady at the front desk as well as the waitress were all very welcoming and attentive. The tables, chairs, and floors were all very clean and well-kept. While waiting for our meal, we received complementary scones - one was cranberry lemon and the other was toasted coconut - that tasted amazing with the sweet Devonshire cream. The waitress was also very attentive in keeping our cold tea refilled. The watermelon hibiscus tea had just the right amount of sweetness and was not overwhelming fruity. I had the Coach's Chicken Salad with the croissant. It tasted amazing. The chicken salad had the perfect combination of crisp grapes, crunchy almonds, and soft chicken. The croissant was also warm, soft, and flakey. The portions were a good size and everything was very filling. It was well worth the price we paid. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Loved the atmosphere and had that small town at home feel! The food was amazing and the tea was incredible!! Service was EXCELLENT! We have lived in Auburndale for a year and I was so surprised we just discovered this place. We will definitely become a regular!
Food is always delicious. One of my favorite restaurants.
