Jimmy's Deli Corner

Does anyone know what happened to the previous owners? The owners when this was Jimmy’s Deli and Market? Did they set up shop somewhere else? The previous owners wife used to make this homemade chili sauce that I’d smother on their spicy chicken teriyaki. Previous owners had a delicious spicy teriyaki dish with fresh onions, broccoli, veggies. Now their spicy chicken teriyaki is just the meat, rice and a bit of sauce. Please someone help me find where the previous owners went. I wouldnt say this place is bad, it’s just a very average teriyaki shop now and certainly not the 5 stars of the previous shop.

The best teriyaki food I've ever had. Anytime when I crave for teriyaki food, I go to West Valley Market & teriyaki. They never disappoint me. The food is so delicious and out of this world. The chef makes the best teriyaki in the Seattle area. I'd give them 5 stars without a hesitation. Keep up the good work.

First time I went, it was great. The service from the lady at the counter was pleasant and welcoming and the chicken teriyaki was really good! Second time I went, I ordered chicken yakisoba - the noodles and chicken we both overcooked and ultimately burnt. I couldnt chew through certain bites of noodles and many of the chicken pieces were beyond Blackened... You can tell it had sat in the WOK too long and whatever was burning at the bottom was mixed into the rest of the food. I went to the counter and let the same lady know - she went back to speak with her son which is the cook. I explained how unpleasant the taste was and that I'd rather just try something else - he was obviously offended and irritated by my comments and stated I could get a refund. Told him I didnt want a refund that I'd just rather try something else, even at a lesser price. He began counting out my cash, I told him I paid with a card and didnt want to go through the process of a card refund - that I would rather just pick something else on the menu - instead he shoved the money toward me - placing it in my hand very angrily. When it comes to placed who cook food fresh each day, such as this place - sometimes things do always go right. And I know that - but what it comes down to is the service and being able to take your paying customers comments about your product without getting Personally Offended... That wasn't the case here - and I'm not sure if I'll be back... Bummer...

I have been going here since I worked at American Products in 2008. It’s very much out of the way, now, but absolutely worth it. Do yourself a favor; order a combo pork/chicken fried rice and GARLIC NOODLES, take some of that weird ketchup/hot sauce in the cylindrical tube and just dowse that fried rice in it and enjoy. You’re welcome.

Always avoided this place for hot food since this is right next to an animal hospital... So today I decided to give them a chance. What a good choice! I ordered the spicy chicken wings and Hawaiian fried rice. One word... BOMB!!! I am a Filipino/Chinese homecook and my family judges if I can make any takeout or sit in restauraunts better or not. AndAthat decidesdnif it's money well spent or not... And this was money well spent... I can likely make it but its good enough for me to just go back and order more for my lazy days... Thanks west valley Market and Teriyaki. You did not disappoint!!! :)
