Great little cafe serving american fare. Food was really good, servers were friendly. Didn't have to wait long for my order. The only drawback was the temperature in the cafe it was a bit cold so I left my jacket on. The French toast was great.

First time eating here. We both had the deluxe hamburger. They cooked the life out of the hamburger so no flavor. Didn't care for the fries. But our service was good.

The food was really good, decent sized portions, but the service here is what separates this place from the rest. Great service, outgoing personalities and the banter between customers and the staff was positive and priceless. Will definitely be back!

Pretty good. Service was good, waitress was friendly, but seemed a little overwhelmed I think she was all alone?? Food was good for the price. Would try again if in the area. We ate lunch, I think breakfast would be good. Everyone around us ordered breakfast and it was 2pm.

Ok guys, so I'm a bit of a foodie right, anyway this place is as legit as you can get. I mean the portions, the price, the quality, the service and people? This place checks all the ☑️ for real. Try the sausage links for sure I've never tasted that in a link so differently delicious. That waffle 🧇 is off....the...hook guys. Go here immediately!

Didn't smell very good in there like old musty carpet. Should have left from the moment we stepped in but thought we'd give it a chance. Food was not good either. The only good thing was the server. She was very friendly.

If you like a small, quaint place with good, home-style meals and friendly staff then you will enjoy Starting Gate. We may be among their younger customers, but it's always a good choice when you don't feel like cooking.
