Panera Bread

Today I placed an order 30 minutes before I arrived on campus. When I get there, it’s not ready. They were very busy, so I understood that. An hour later, my food was finally ready. When I open it, my chicken avocado melt was on toast bread (usually is not) was BLACK.. BURNT. I had one small slice of avocado and different chicken than I had before. My soup was cold, and I wasn’t even given silverware. They gave me an apple instead of bread to go with my soup. I understand they get busy, but it’s absolutely ridiculous for the quality of food I’m getting compared to the prices they’re charging. I prefer not to drink my soup..

As a coffee shop Panera Bread is ok, they can't do 12oz lattes and the espresso they use is nothing special. However, the staff is still very friendly and recognizes the regulars, they also have a very large selection of pastries and food. Be mindful of peak dining hours because the line can get fairly long but it moves pretty quickly and they get food out at a decent rate.

So, I've been told that this Panera's food is sub par compared to others, but I don't really care because the woman at the counter is the nicest. Every day I come to get my small dark roast and baguette, and she hooks me right up with a smile on her face. Just don't order online though, they'll screw it up.
