The food and service are consistently top notch! The atmosphere accommodates both a sit down meal with the family but is also an awesome place to grab a beer and watch a hockey or football game!
Owner puts his heart soul and heritage into this place . Great food friendly staff and layer back atmosphere . I highly recommend it !
I’ll keep this short and sweet, great food, great beer, great atmosphere, and great service, this has to be visited if in the area, actually make a plan to visit this restaurant.

Home of das boot! I didn’t actually get it but wished someone did. Loved the energy of the staff and all the decor. Seating inside and outside. This place is great for families or just a night out with friends. The customers at the bar were having a great time with the jukebox. Don’t know if it’s actually called that anymore. Machine that plays music is best way to describe it.
The food was amazing. This was only my second time at a German restaurant. First time I made the mistake of getting a giant array of sausage. I was smart enough this time to not eat too heavy. I went with das schnitzel sandwich. I was recently introduced to fried pork cutlets. On a pretzel bread seems like a no-brainer. I turned out to be right. Fried perfectly, tons of flavor. Their french fries for a nice bonus. Very crispy and delicious. I was also able to sample some of my wife’s plate of jagerschnitzel. It was basically what I got, but with a delicious mushroom gravy sauce. It also came with a side of spatzle. Great experience. Can’t wait to go visit the in-laws and come back here. Five stars!
This was a random gem we stumbled upon. Described as “sneakily delicious” by my boyfriend i had to post a review. Which i never really do, The Bavarian Nachos we ordered for starters didn’t make it to the photos, THATS how good it was. When ordering the salad you’re preparing for being underwhelmed but i was so happy with what i got, the salad was perfectly abundant with all the listed ingredients and the homemade dressing was excellent. I’m impressed already but then my bf gets Das schnitzel sandwich with Munster and bacon, EXCELLENT, with the delicious garlic lemon mayo. Be prepared for awesome service too, not too much attention but just enough you never need for anything. Thank you for having us, we most definitely will be regulars now!
For me as a German citizen was kinda funny to see how German culture got translated to American culture. So yeah there was a German food menu (not really authentic German food but close to) and good german beer.
It was still an American restaurant with sports and to many TV's and they're way to loud. But I think that's normal in the states so it was fun.
I would come again!
And it's in German "Der Biergarten" because it's masculine and not neutral (for "Das"). 😉
Definitely not bar food! This is top restaurant quality flavor and care. I asked for recommendations and I got them. The schweinshaxe is to die for! I dont normally go for pork but this is a must have. The onion soup is a lovely take on the regular mozzarella you'll find in other places. (Tastes better too). And apfelstrudel? I hope you brought a friend because it's enough for two.
Hefeweisen was crisp, service on a Sunday afternoon was great! Remember it's a bar, so if the game is on, the fans are there.
Definitely coming back and bringing my parents because the food is THAT good! Compliments to the chef!

Amazing atmosphere. Great set up, easy parking, nice outdoor area for sitting and dining. Beer garden style inside dining. They have Staten Oktoberfest year round, which is a big reason I keep coming back here. It’s a big ranger bar for their hockey games as well, but it’s really tough to even get served when it’s ranger playoffs, place gets crazy.
Great German style beer hall, even better if your a Rangers fan!
Fantastic afternoon at Das Biergarten today. Since Lots of Octoberfest celebrations are cancelled this year we took the chance to meet up with some friend for some pre Octoberfest celebration at Long Beach.
Table where spaced well apart, server had mask all the times. Menu where laminated.
Food and Beer where great and is certainly worth a trip to Long Beach if you look for some good Beer, Food and “Gemütlichkeit”... highly recommend to everyone who like Germany Cuisine in a safe environment...
Beer was great - Hofbrau Munich Original and Paulaner Hefeweizen - wheat beer. German onion soup, potato skins, more like scooped out delicious potatoes, and, of course, selection of German sausages on a board with red and white krauts, and mustard - everything was just great.
