It's amazing how a restaurant can transcend the food, even when the food is so unforgettable. The experiences, the memories, the people I have shared moments with at Little Rey will stay with me forever. My fiance and I first went to Little Rey soon after it opened in 2019, and we have lived a lot of life since then. One of the main constants has been this fantastic restaurant. Through the pandemic, surprise visits from friends and family around the country, birthday parties, etc., the first place that always came to mind to house these moments was this place. I have experienced incredible customer service from the entire staff throughout our dozens and dozens of visits, but Marisol specifically made such an enormous impact on us over the years. Always cheerful and friendly without fail and SO generous to allow us to have a little gathering on their back patio, just because she knew how important this place is to us. I could go on and on about her and the whole staff, but I haven't even gotten to the food yet! The absolute BEST tacos (dinner or breakfast), frozen margaritas, salsa, queso, fries, chicken wings, pancakes (don't even get me started on the SYRUP) I HAVE EVER HAD. Nothing touches this place as far as food quality. You can't go wrong with any option in the menu. I have moved out of Georgia and am going to miss this place, but will ALWAYS make a point to stop in whenever I am back in Atlanta.

Food was tasty, the service was excellent and, and the atmosphere in Midtown was calm, despite the usual traffic. Overall I enjoyed this spot. The outdoor seating in particular feels good at this time of fall. I do have to give a special shout out to the sauces that offer. Those are actually insanely good.

I love returning to Little Rey. I have had their hot cakes and their lunch menu and all are delicious. It is a very casual restaurant with delicious food. It is similar to Superica but on a smaller and more casual scale. A great location for weekend brunch.

Updated: I said I would come back for the hotcakes and I’m so glad I did! I went with a group of 4 for brunch at 1:15 pm on Saturday, 7/22/23. There was a line but it moved pretty quickly! I got the Steak Breakfast Taco ($5.50) and the Potato Breakfast Taco ($3.25). The steak taco was great. I wasn’t a huge fan of the potato taco though. Between the 4 of us, we split 2 orders of ‘Little’ Superica Hotcakes ($5.50). The hype is totally justified! The syrup tasted like the top of a crème brûlée. It was sooo good. We also got the Queso Primo ($11) to share. It was good, but that was too much food. We were good with 1-2 tacos each and 2 orders of the hotcakes. I also got a large Rio Red Margarita on the rocks ($12). It was good! Little Rey has great food for any meal. Don’t sleep on the hotcakes! Original: I came with a friend for a late lunch at 1:45 pm on Tuesday, 11/22/22, so there was no line and our food was already out by the time I got salsa and got back to the table. The salsas are key. I tried 3 different kinds and they were all delicious. A must-have for your tacos! Be warned that prices are a bit outrageous. Here's what I got: - Chile con Queso & Chips ($7): The chips were clearly fresh and it came with a lot of queso. - Chicken al Carbon Taco ($5): Very good! There was a good amount of chicken. - Suadero Taco ($5.50): The brisket was delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed everything I got! I read in other reviews that their breakfast is awesome, so I'll definitely be back for that! I recommend!

Update August 2023: still love it but I am schocked by the astronomical amount of plastic and one time use that is just thrown away without recycling this is really not good Little rey is one of my favorites I mean they just do the chicken the right way nice charcoal burn with delicious sides and the sauces with the jalapeño ranch being my absolute favorite 😍. They now have a buffet of sauces where you can help yourself which is pretty cool. Otherwise the queso was really good and then lastly the wings as you will see on my review they are a 💣 nice heat and crunchy without too much breading which I appreciated a lot! Drinks are nice too and honestly pretty affordable for a half bird at 18 dollars that feeds me for two meals and I usually eat quite a lot :)

The food was great! Homemade tortillas. It was a great spot. Margarita was really good, too. We arrived just before 11 am, however they were kind enough to allow us to start ordering from the lunch menu. I ordered carnita tacos, and my husband had the 1/2 chicken. I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

The breakfast taco are absolutely amazing!! I loved them the first time and had to go back the following weekend. I tried the mushroom breakfast tacos and they’re super flavorful, and the tortillas are amazing. The tacos are pretty large and two tacos were enough for brunch! They’re also very affordable and you get more than your money’s worth. I had to wait for about 15 min in line around 11:30 on Sunday, but the second time I went at 10am on a Saturday and there was no wait and lots of tables were open. I will definitely go back and try their regular menu!

Fantastic flavor and a lively atmosphere. You won't wait long for your food here. The tacos are an absolute delight, and the pozole, although tasty, comes in a smaller portion than anticipated.

LOVE this place and can’t wait to come back. Great food, reasonable prices, and cute atmosphere. You order at the counter and it’s mostly self service. Free parking is available by the restaurant. Try the cafe de olla (horchata latte) and huevos rancheros :) pancakes and tacos were good too

I went to Little Rey for the first time today. It was a Sunday at 11 and there was a line out the door. Not too long of a wait. I got a glass bottle coke, the breakfast chalupa, chips and dip, the café de olla, and a mixed fruit kolache. My total for everything was $25. The kolache is a pastry that I believe is only available on sundays. The Cafe de olla is coffee and horchata. Everything was good! If I went back I would reorder the kolache and chips and dip with a different taco. The vibe is great. I could see the inside getting loud if there were a lot of people. Will be revisiting soon! I’m eager to try their lunch items. Free parking! Their jalapeño ranch was delish.
