I’ve been here twice in the last week. The drink menu is exceptional and the way they put their own spin on classic drinks like the sidecar only elevate it more. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu. The shaved okra is light and flavorful you could eat it like popcorn and coming from someone who hates vegetables that’s a miracle. The monkfish was prepared perfectly and the presentation is beautiful. Another favorite was the chicken liver mousse which is whipped to creamy perfection with a Smokey onion on top, served in a delightful tea cup. The stunner for me was the tavern streak au pouve and onion rings. The steak is a delicious cut, and cooked at med. rare is juicey and melts in your mouth. The onion rings are the perfect sized and batter with something extra that brings an extra punch when you bite in. The waitstaff is attentive and willing to go the extra mile (Lena was a pleasure last night), and you couldn’t get better ambiance. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to get a little fancy and have a great time.

10/10 the service was great everyone was super friendly! Food was amazing, William was very helpful and chose our items and wine, they were spot on! April made sure we were happy and well hydrated she explained all what went in to the individual courses. Spencer made sure every dish was cooked to perfection and a work of art. You can truly tell they put their heart into their food and atmosphere, I will be going back and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Awesome cocktails! This place has an awesome retro vibe. The service was phenomenal. We tried several items on the menu and a few cocktails, every dish was tasty and all the cocktails equally delicious. I probably would not recommend it for a full meal, the portions are small but this is a great place to come have a super fun cocktail and order a small creative and tasty plate on the side to snack on.

Excellent drinks, food, and service. Our server helped us picked all of our cocktails and dishes and did an excellent job! Atmosphere was neat and it was an incredible experience all around.

This place is the outstanding! One of my new favorite places, along with Muchacho. William, Will, and Sarah are wonderful. The tartare atop bone marrow and the broiled oysters with uni butter are decadently delicious. The fruit tart was so beautiful I didn’t want to eat it, and it was even tastier than it looked. The service was just as great as the food. The decor is chic without being pretentious; it’s like Great Gatsby meets Ron Burgundy, in the most fabulous way. Great job Golden Eagle, keep up the good work!

I liked this place, but note that the bar for excellent food in Atlanta is elevated. Service: very attentive and our server was friendly. We like to put in our entire order as early as possible but usually trust the server to time the order according to the typical prep time. Our appetizers came out super quickly, along with our drinks, which is all well and good. And then less than ten minutes later, entrees came out. I almost always prefer faster food delivery than slower, but this was a little too fast--the check was paid by 835 and we were seated at 745. Honestly, it's okay, but just a slightly bizarre experience. Space: fantastic. We used to love H Harper Station from years gone, but Golden Eagle/Muchacho has done much more with the outdoor space. In COVID times, we really appreciated big patio heating torches outside of our gazebo. It was probably the main reason we chose to come here and didn't disappoint. There was one temperamental tabletop heater but we barely noticed. Great, relaxed but thoughtful decor and pulled off an awesome vibe with the space. Food: Fried quail--very good flavors, very crispy. In general, things that were prepared crispy were very crisp, and in general, flavors across the board were solid to excellent. Olive toast--really good, somewhat straightforward. The olives themselves weren't particularly special, and the cheese was sparingly put on, but the bread was awesome and the whole thing came together just fine. Bone marrow--the star of the appetizers. Great umami, well roasted (not like 900° steakhouse broiled but definitely not undercooked, very good) but the best part was this incredible bright flavor, nice acidity, balanced the whole thing. Again, bread was superb, toasty sourdough that managed to stay soft while still having a crispy texture. This was a must have. Tagliatelle--this was probably the disappointment. It's not exactly a fancy Italian place so we might be a little spoiled with our expectations, but tbh, this tasted barely a notch better than what many would prepare at home. Good, tasty, but not special, not differentiated in flavor, and the pasta, while not overcooked, didn't have good bite to it and was definitely not al dente. Overall, nothing wrong with this dish but not anything extraordinarily great about it either. Burger--fantastic but you should know what to expect. Short rib+chuck = really high levels of umami, more fatty than greasy but still just extremely rich. With the caramelized onions and no produce to balance it, this is a really heavy burger. I was happy with it as my taste trends towards more rich food, but by the end I definitely felt stuffed. Also, again with the theme of crispy stuff being properly crispy--the fries were perfectly executed and somehow stayed both crispy and warm. Cocktails -- I had a spiked cider, exactly what I wanted in this chilly weather, and also not mind blowingly complex. My wife got a mocktail, sort of a lemon spritz type drink with a sprig of rosemary and lemon peel for aroma. Pretty decent, again not super duper special and wouldn't fool anyone for a cocktail by taste, but in a nice glass and a nice and light drink. Damage -- really not too expensive, and gratuity is included. With tax and gratuity, three starters and two mains and two drinks, came out to about $110. Golden Eagle nails the supper club vibe. Something about the feel of this place makes it more a special ambience and space. With solid food and good service, it's worth a visit. I would peg the food quality somewhere around the old pre-pizza joint Lloyd's -- trying to hit a theme and ambience but with a notch of food quality above. I would peg it a solid notch and a half below the top tier of restaurants (Gunshow, Staplehouse), and maybe a half notch below the likes of One Eared Stag and Full Commission. If I went back, I would order the meat + side entrees -- current menu has a brined brick chicken and a bison meatloaf, and I bet they would have been a little more special.

Such a classic. We will be sad to see them go. They have always had the best and most creative drinks in Atlanta! The service has always been top notch as well.

Groovy Baby... very cool retro vibe. Love the atmosphere and vibe. The service was very good, but the food was a little hit or miss. We went for my Birthday and the overall experience was good. I started with the Broiled Oysters (Luke warm with heavy breading & no lump crab or jalapeño butter... as advertised). I then had the Tavern Steak Au Poivre / Onion Rings. The onion rings were awesome, but my steak was Luke warm and tough. My wife had the Duck Confit / cipollini onions... very good. I am a big fan of Muchacho, but the Eagle could use some fine tuning.

It was fantabulous! I know that’s not even a word but it was amazing! The service was superb and our server Ashley recommended some great items and took great care of my friend and I. We had the garlic knots and another starter that I forgot the name of but she said it was Japanese street food but elevated. I never had it before but it was delicious! For an entree, my friend and I shared the brick chicken special and it was definitely enough for two people. We also had their carrots and they were delectable! This was my first time here and I would be more than happy to come again!

Wow! What a beautiful restaurant! And the food is brilliant too. Everything about this place is phenomenal - the music, the decor (that bar is gorgeous), the cocktails, the food, the staff. We were taken care of by Nicole who is an amazing presence - knowledgeable, passionate and friendly! Will be back again!

We heard they're closing 🥺 and had to stop by one last time. The drinks are always amazing. This time we got the Blue Hawaiian, Hemingway Daiquiri, and mojitos. 🍹🍸 The parmesan fries are excellent. I could eat a bucket of them. 🍟🍟 The Olive Bar toast, with green and black olives and mushrooms, was wonderful. It compliments the Tagliatelle Alfredo very well too. The Supper Club burger 🍔 and Fried Quail 🍗 are dishes I think anyone would like. In the past we tried the Roasted Bone Marrow, and it was hard for us to not be greedy and order it too. 🤤 We're sad to see it go. The decor was very unique; dark and intimate, like a luxurious cabin. And I was always cold 🥶🤣 But we're happy that Muchacho is the one taking it over.

We had a blast. The food is amazing. The staff is knowledgeable. The drinks come out, too slow. They need to add a bartender to prevent the drink lulls and this place would be perfection. We will return.
