Mambo Italian Street Food

Oh, my, delicious! I'd asked my family to surprise me with a place to go for my birthday - wanted to try something new. This was fantastic! We started with the fried calamari, which (unfortunately) our son loved, too, so we devoured it. We all went for one of the daily specials, so it wasn't our cheapest outing, but it was great! Definitely will be back. Oh, the live music was enjoyable, too. Thanks for a great evening out.

We visited early Saturday night in September and ate on the patio. The meal overall was lovely. We had the fried ravioli to start, which we ate so fast that I forgot to snap a picture. My partner had a meat calzone which looked HUGE but was actually normal, just super airy. The calzone + marinara was yummy when I stole a bite. I had the campangola pizza, which had great crust. I really enjoyed the topping combination and proportions. I hope this place is successful so we can keep visiting!

Last night was my second time dining from here. First time was a bust, but they were one of the only places open last night. I ordered the lasagna and it was simply amazing! I’m hate it didn’t come with anything but the proportion was plenty. I didn’t even finish it. I will definitely give a few of the other menu items a try.

This place is great for a quick bite and authentic Italian street cuisine. I come here a lot with coworkers and even vendors. I usually build my own pizza as I love the fresh ingredients used and they make it in a true brick oven! This is a great place to try if you're in town visiting, just moving to the area, or just exploring different things!

I will have to go back and re-try this place. We went on a Sunday afternoon and they were understaffed. Because of this the wait for food and service was longer than should be. But the staff tried their best. And that helped. I had a Rigatoni but did not like it. The cheesy Italian bread was AMAZING, and the drinks were strong. The restaurant itself had a very nice atmosphere. My friends really enjoyed their food (one ordered a pizza and I tried it. It was great). So, all in all, I'm going to give it a low rating currently based on my Rigatoni not being good and the place being understaffed. But, I do plan to go back again, try something different, and will update my rating then.
