The chicken sandwich can only be described as ambrosia to mortals. The coleslaw danced upon my palate and induced a sense of euphoria I have yet to experience. The sweet tea tastes as though it was delicately crafted by a artisan with just a hint of sweetness as not to overpower the robust flavor of tea that only true southerners admire. And finally, if I am lucky enough to enter the fields of Elysium, I hope to first encounter a Hops Chicken before entering its endless fields of green.
Delicious fried chicken and sweet tea. One of the cheapest places to eat at ponce and we'll worth it. I have never experienced the wait other reviewers mention and have always enjoyed it. I like the biscuit better, my husband likes the sandwich.
Very busy place tonight. Chicken cooked to order. It was very good and hit. The Mac n cheese is the best I’ve ever tasted while in ATL.
Great job. 5 stars
Good food spot, I liked how light their fried chicken was because fried food isn't my go-to (but when in Georgia, of course..) their Mac and cheese was good as well. Their spicy stuff could use more flavor though, and I wish there was more seasoning or stronger flavors on the chicken/mac too. Service was quick and friendly. Bustling location.
It was our first time eating here. We ordered the chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, biscuits, and macaroni. It was all great! I recommend trying the sauce with the chicken tenders and even on the sandwich. The sandwich was basic, with only sweet pickles on it, but it was still good. The bun was sweet. I was a little surprised that they did not have fries as a side option. The prices are very reasonable and affordable.
Stopped by on a busy Saturday and got the chicken biscuit and it was solid: soft, juicy, flavorful & HOT. The wait wasn't bad, 5 minutes or so. Under $10, I'd return
Why is the rating kinda low? I got a single piece thigh and it was delicious! Thought it represented atlanta fried chicken well, as I come from DC.
Hop’s was absolutely delicious!! Came here for 4 days to visit from out of state with my 2 friends and we all absolutely loved the food. The employee who took our orders was not nice at all and forgot to give us a drink. It was difficult to get her attention. The food made up for any bad experiences. It was amazing and if I lived in Atlanta I know I would be a regular here. The fried chicken was nicely spiced and moist all the way through. The fried apple pie was just perfect. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Very good chicken. Sides a little bland, in my opinion, but I like spicy food, so it may be perfect for others. Biscuits were dry the day I ate there.

The chicken was well seasoned with the combination of the buttery biscuit was delicious. The mac and cheese were good also. JoWana told me that her chicken sandwich was messy but delicious also with a kick to it with the hot sauce.

Had really nice chicken burger here. Lots of flavour and plentiful sized portion.
We were there early and had to wait a while for things to be cooked and ready bit once the place got going there was a big queue showing how popular it is.
Hubby and I are fried chicken lovers and we are from Alabama so we know good fried chicken. We are always a bit hesitant to try restaurant fried chicken but given the long line we assumed that this place may be okay. Boy were we right about that! This chicken was as close to home cooked fried chicken as it gets. It’s obviously marinated in buttermilk and the seasoning is phenomenal. The Mac & cheese and apple pie were both amazing. Greens could’ve had more seasoning but no complaints there. I’ll definitely be going back.
