Had been here with a group of office friends. The restaurant decor is fairly inviting, the service friendly, the food is average at best. The Soup was great and represented the very meaning of gristle. Overall sodium content is too heavy. Small, rubbery shrimp. The vegetarian food was great. The chef’s style of preparing and serving the food kept us all amused. The chicken and beef was good as per my friends the vegetables very good. The fried rice was not properly mixed and was lumped with balls of all white rice, but flavored well.

We were there on Sunday to celebrate my daughter's 7th birthday and enjoyed an excellent sushi and hibachi experience. We were seated in a private room within 15 minutes of arrival with no reservations (party of six), and soon joined by three other groups. Our server ran down the appetizer and drink menu, and we decided on the $5.00 martinis (the lemon drop was perfect!). As we settled into our big leather seats and enjoyed the decor and ambiance, our hibachi chef Madi entered the room. He immediately lit us up with humorous quips and practical jokes as he prepped the grill. In a competitive culinary market like Metro Atlanta, customer service and presentation are essential, and he scored major points with his personality! I ordered the Volcano Roll and Vegetable Hibachi with the rest of the crew ordering similar variations. Madi then commenced with "the show," which consited of spinning eggs, onion volcanoes, squirting sauce bottles, skilled humor, and some delicious food. The portions were ridiculous, prices fair, and by the time we finished we were full, satisfied, and looking foward to our next visit as we boxed our leftovers. The only suggestion I have is for the management. Please clean your bathrooms! They are way too fancy for the condition they were in. Besides that, we were very satisfied with our experience, and will be back soon!

I am finishing up a house hunting trip in Atlanta and stumbled into taki near the perimeter 8-28-12. Food was phenomenal and service was excellent. I dined solo as it was a business trip and I'm in and out but I didn't by any means feel neglected. Ordered the spring rolls and angel roll. Both were excellent. The bar tender/waitress was very attentive. I will be returning with hubby!

Decent sushi place. It started out its menu as a fushion place. Along that line, they made one great dish in "Miso Sea Bass". For me at least, I settle on it as a place to have my sushi fix. Hey, I'm generally too lazy to drive to Buckhead for MF Buckhead after work. Overall, a very nice place despite its a bit out-of-place location.

I've eaten at many sushi restaurants in Atlanta and I rate Taki as top 3! Presentation is amazing and the quality of fish is top notch. We eat here at least twice a month. Highly recommend.....

Sushi like home. I was in town for business and met a friend here for dinner. The sushi was so fresh and priced well. It reminded me of my favorite sushi restaurant at home in Orlando, FL. The service was wonderful. From start to finish, my impression of this restaurant was top of the line. When I'm back in town, I will definitely be back here!

Great service. We ate at Taki tonight and enjoyed nice live music on the patio while watching football. The server was very nice, and the atmosphere was nice. Many restaurants have come and gone in that shopping center, but we'd like Taki to stay around.

My favorite local sushi joint!. Sushi is great, fish is fresh and delicious. Compared to other local sushi spots, the value is not bad for the quality you receive. The staff is helpful and friendly. I have visitied this location twice in the last week and thouroughly enjoyed my nigiri sushi dinner. The quality of the food is definately apparent.

Loved it!. I had a business lunch with an ADT rep who preferred sushi, whereas I preferred the Chicken Teriyaki. Joi was our server and she did an excellent job keeping our glasses filled and taking our orders. My food was just fine. My friend agreed we will have to return for another visit. I feel confident telling all my friends to check out Taki for lunch or dinner. Two thumbs up guys!

Great Hibachi--Good Sushi. Lobster, steak, shrimp all absolutely great on hibachi--and excellent performance by the chef. Sushi was good. Only had a bit, so not enough data to rate definitively.

Terrific New Find. We're big sushi lovers and always on the lookout for chefs who use really fresh fish and offer a unique take on the everyday offerings. Taki really surprised us. Yes, they're new and seem to be getting their sea-legs. But our sushi was some of the best wev'e ever had in Atlanta. It's not cheap, but I think we definitely got what we paid for. Try the eel and the Angel roll for sure. They also have a great selection of country sakis. We'll be back soon. We need a great new sushi restaurant on the north side, so I hope my neighbors are patient as they iron out a few wrinkles.

Great!! Can't wait to go back!. We went to Taki for lunch today. As we pulled up to the restaurant the parking lot appeared empty. I'm always concerned when no one else is there. The entrance is on the side of the building ,so most cars/customers are on the side and initially Taki appeared EMPTY from the front.

Sushi was fresh and great. Hibachi was fantastic. The presentation was very nice. Their Dynamite Roll was one of the best I've had. This will definitely be in my rotation for dinner, business, and lunch.

The place is HUGE, almost cavernous and on my first pass seems a little upscale for the area especially next to a Hobby Lobby but I'm glad to have it in the area.

Service from the waitstaff was a little slow but I'm sure they are trying to work the kinks out of a new staff. Had to get up and find someone to ask for my check, refills were slow, waiter disappeared at times. No worries though, probably things associated with a new establishment.

They have a banner on the outside proclaiming a 15% introductory discount on your bill until 2/4/10. Make sure you ask for it. I didn't check until I left the establishment and they didn't automatically include on my bill.

Came in to celebrate my birthday! The food was awesome. The music was great. Our server kept forgetting our drinks and silverware. The steak wasn’t prepared correctly but the food was so worth it. Definitely will be returning.

Came by to have lunch with coworkers. It was a Thursday and it wasn't busy at all. I think this was the third or fourth time coming for lunch. The edamame appetizer was great. Everyone else had hibachi, and really enjoyed it. I had the Sushi A with a spicy tuna roll. The presentation was awesome, everything tasted great, and was very filling. Definitely recommend and would come back again. What you get for the price is great.

For some unknown reason we sat and waited an extended time. Upon being seated it appeared they were trying to fill the hibachi table. The place was pretty empty during the week. Waiting was not cool with kids needing to get to bed on time. Didn't happen. The food was very salty. My scallops were tender. Host was not the most cordial. They did sing happy birthday for a person in our party which was nice. Habachi items start at $18 and go to $30+. Meat and seafood are all cooked in close proximity and little effort was made to keep them apart. Fire display scared the 5 year old...he knew it was coming and hid. Overall not real impressed but okay. Service and food are the priority to make a good experience.

Been coming here for years and never disappoints. Friday night and we were seated in 5 minutes. Great service and food either go for the hibachi experience but we chose to sit at a table for sushi. Sushi boat was great but the Hawaiian tuna appetizer was tasty but very small even for one person. If it’s your birthday they brought out a free desert with a nice birthday song to go along with it 😀save room for the fried ice cream.

I met up with some old co-worker friends at this restaurant which is around the corner from our former job. It was a Saturday but the vibe was super chill and laid back. We came here for Hibachi. Now I have only had Hibachi one time so I did and didn't know what to expect. We were seated at the table with two other dudes. That was fine. They had their space and we had ours. We were all cordial. We ordered drinks. I don't remember the name but it was good and packed a punch. As I was talking I noticed I was giggling. Yep the drink. (smile). Next we were served soup and salad and I also ordered an appetizer Bang Bang Shrimp. So far everything was good. Finally the chef came and started cleaning the grill with flames going. Let me tell you, you can feel the heat. I ordered mine with steak, shrimp and chicken with extra onion and vegetables. Whew child loaded our plates up with food. Delicious and piping hot. I was full after a few bites. We had more than enough to take home. We giggled and laughed some more until we finally got up to leave. This restaurant is so chill. Nobody harassing you. Will definitely return.

Easily one of the best Japanese steakhouses in the perimeter. Casual dining with generous portions and the price point matches the portion size. I had their sushi for the first time and it was tasty as well. Friendly waitstaff, clean and kid friendly environment. Parking is free.

The lobby area and tables could do with a deep clean. It looked dingy when we walked in and the table edge in the hibachi room was sticky. The food and hibachi experience was great. Fried rice was tasty and well seasoned. Steak and shrimp were excellent. Chicken was ok, a little dry. The hibachi chef did some cool tricks. Be prepared for high prices and automatic gratuity 18% depending on the number of people. We paid for four people and it was $157.50. Also, know that they won't seat you until everyone in your party arrives.

Honestly I love it here. Anita is always my server and she’s the best! I think everyone knows me already because I come a lot. Their crazy rolls are AMAZING! I love how they take their time to prepare it and it just looks like they care. Feels like it too! If you ever do come try the crazy rolls & ask for Anita 😬😬😬 I will always come here for my sushi!
