Our favorite restaurant. They have been without a liquor license awhile but we are toughing it out with them! Unique and tasty pizzas and sandwiches, good local brews when they're serving. The young people who work there are ALL friendly and capable. Funky 70s style at this location, the original since 74.

The best pizza in the city and s great beer selection. Overrun when I went last over Thanksgiving. Sounds like they're understaffed. But the kitchen staff were friendly and make great food. Try the pretzels made fresh there. Been good for 20 years in my experience and counting.

Great food, nice service. The ingredients are fresh especially the mushrooms. Today I ordered cloud 9 wings and a medium house special pizza. Love the thin crust that you can make it a roll! And won't feel too greasy like most pizza. Tbh this is my first time dining in at a Mellow Mushroom (although had many deliveries before) and it's beyond my expectations! Like the design of the menu as well!

Generally, we love this place. Great pizza! That being said....
Stick with the pizza. I opted for something different that night. Big mistake. I had the Cheese Steak Hoagie. It came with luke warm Tater Tots that had a strange taste. They were replaced for me. They still tasted strange, but at least they were hot.
On a scale of 1-10, I give the Cheese Steak Hoagie a weak 3, almost a 2. It was nasty. I could taste bacon from some previous meal cooked on the grill and some other unidentifiable flavors that did not belong.
After telling the waiter about the problem, he offered to see if the manager would give me 1/2 off. I asked to speak with him myself. While we were discussing the really bad sandwich, I realized that it didn't even have any cheese on it! It was so bad I hadn't even noticed. Everyone was really nice, and the manager did write off my food.
We do like the place, and we'll go back, but we'll stick with the pizza.

Good to have our neighborhood Mellow Mushroom back with it good staff and BEER. Order a pizza last night, WOW it was the best. Mellow Staff glad you are back, like home again.

The food was perfect...I had a delicious burger, and my husband had the Cloud wings!
But, it was our server Liam...that made our experience..Fantastic!
He was attentive, fast..and soo nice! When we go back, we hope that he'll be there, to take care of us!!!

The gluten free crust was similar to a thin crust and was very good. The servers were very attentive and accommodating considering I had my elderly parent with me who was very specific about the order and not very polite. (No filter!)

Excellent pizza. Great service. You can't beat it! They have a patio and lots of indoor seating. Falcons and other games are always on the TV. They have their own parking lot too! Kosmic Kharma and the Veg Out are excellent choice!

Server was very nice and knowledgable about the drink and food menus. The food was exceptionally delicious. Took a star off because my husband found a viscous, snot-like unidentified thing in his beer. Having been a bartender, I immediately wondered when the last time the taps were flushed. It could have also been that the glass was dirty and the beige chunk of mucous-y something was from the dishwasher. We didn't really investigate and our server was quick to remove the rest of the beer and take it off our check. Also, a couple of the fans on the patio were on the highest speed setting despite it being fairly chilly. We asked to have one turned down but none of the staff did it, so we had to do it ourselves. Otherwise, a good Mellow Mushroom experience.

The oldest Mellow in existence and one of the last one or two that have the low-key vibe that I remember from my childhood visits to the Mellows of old.
I will guarantee that nine times out of ten you're going to get the best made Mellow menu-items from this kitchen crew; and the servers, while often overwhelmed by the heavy traffic and love from our pizza-obsessed community, always take top care of their customers. This has been the only Mellow for me for over two decades.

You can find this location of Mellow Mushroom at 1679 Lavista Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30329 right next to Whole Foods and Post Briarcliff. This location is one of the older, longer running Mellow Mushrooms in Atlanta, at one time threatened by Post Apartments (who coveted the land and seemed to buy out all the nearby businesses). I'm happy that it has both survived and thrived.

Great salad. Had the build your own salad - was huge and fresh! took half home for dinner. We also got a large cosmic karma pizza - the crust was really good and the pizza itself was good. didn't much like the mushroom soup but not because it wasn't good - we just wanted a clear broth soup and it seemed to be pretty thick with cornstarch.<br/>All in all we will come back - tons of food and overall good stuff

Used to be a favorite but the pizza is just not that good anymore. The dough is different for sure. They must be using high gluten/high protein flour now. Beer is cold, too many TV's.

Usually a big fan of Mellow, but the past few times I've been to this one, every aspect was horrible. My server spent most of his time sitting down with the other employees having a beer. Food took over 30 minutes when there were only 10 people in the store, and all I got was two slices of pepperoni. When it did show up, tasted old and was cold. Will not return.

Trivia and thats it. The pizza is good, but you have better options. Wednesday Night has trivia, but with RIM servicing blackberries, everyone cheats and integrity is out the window.
