Beautiful Restaurant

I drive by all the time but today was my first visit. A friend and I ordered Fried Chicken, ribs, oxtail, cornbread, spinach, rutabagas and Mac and cheese. All amazing. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rates were reasonable and the portions were generous. Everything was perfectly cooked and well seasoned but not salty at all. It felt like family.

Treasure find. Are you kidding me? What a wonderful find while in town for work. The beautiful restaurant lives up to its name with wonderful staff and delicious eats. The highlight of the meal, of course, was the baked banana pudding. I first that I have experienced outside of a family home, and its that family feeling that this place provides is the reason its earned my coveted "Certified Mad Good" rating. A must try for those in the area

It's the history of this place for me! The food is still good, the people are still friendly & please be patient because there is a line a lot of times. But it's worth the wait if you ask me. I will say if there is a line, it can get a little warm while you wait, but I think they noticed & adjusted the temperature. I ordered a veggies plate & a rib tip plate. The Mac & cheese was disappointing but everything else was pretty good. Our server checked on us consistently as we dined in & we had TEMONADE to drink. (their version of Arnold palmer)... Which was great! Other than that, this place is still a historical gem!

Good food for the soul Iconic historic Atlanta restaurant. Went about an hour before closing for a veggie plate. They didn't have the veggies I was craving, however I wasn't disappointed with the choices. The cornbread was a little crumble but the taste was good. Glad it wasn't sweet. The "teamonade " is a great quench thirst. The Beautiful never disappoints.

This is a cafeteria type setup where you grab your tray and the plate is served as you move down the line. I had the veggie plate, because I was informed that fish is only served on Fridays; the veggies were welled seasoned and prepared very well. I also received a drink, which was included with the meal. There’s parking available behind the restaurant, and customers parked on the street as well. I am not a meat eater, but everyone who did have the turkey wings, pork chops, Ox tails, and spaghetti pie enjoyed them. The ladies who worked the line were very nice and treated us like family.

Stopped by with my brother while out of town. We got the oxtail dinner with collard greens, rutabaga, and a side of banana pudding. Exemplary, friendly service, cute joint, and AMAZING food. We both agreed the textures and balance of flavors were perfect. We would both go again and order everything from the menu. BEST cornbread we've ever had-- I think my brother is going to be dreaming of it for years to come.
