Last Saturday evening I had the great pleasure of eating at O-Ku. I am a huge fan of O-Ku Charleston and was hopeful that I would not be disappointed in Atlanta. I was not. I was visiting Atlanta and did not have reservations (although I tried). My daughter and I showed up hoping to get seated anywhere. I was traveling back home the next day so this was our only chance. We were offered seats at the sushi bar and we gladly took them. Our experience was terrific. Marcelo was our server and Junior was the sushi chef that took great care of us. We loved our meal and will definitely come back next time we are in town. Our rolls were delicious; we even got a complimentary few bites of wagyu sushi and my mouth is still watering over the memory of those bites. Thank you O-Ku, Marcelo and Junior! ���
My wife and I came here for our 10th anniversary dinner. WOW. Service was top notch. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and the food came promptly. The best part... THE FOOD. This is some of the best sushi in Atlanta. You can tell by the presentation and taste the staff takes a lot of pride in their work. Also they brought us some complimentary sushi samplings and appetizers as well as a couple glasses of champagne. Everything was fantastic. Definitely coming back here.
Oh-Ku exceeded all expectations, setting a new standard for what I consider exceptional dining. The service, led by our waitress Jasmine, was among the best I've experienced in quite some time. Not only was the staff incredibly customer-oriented, but they also provided great recommendations, showcasing their extensive knowledge of the menu.
The sushi was nothing short of fantastic, bursting with flavor and meticulously prepared. The atmosphere added to the overall dining experience, creating a setting that was both lively and comfortable.
Without a doubt, Oh-Ku has become my new favorite sushi place. From the remarkable service to the delectable food and welcoming atmosphere, it's a dining experience that shouldn't be missed.
This was, hands down, among one of the best dining experiences I have had.
I sat in the roof top dining area and my servers were John & Jimmy.
I felt like I was eating in the company of old friends and they were both so knowledgeable of the menu.
Everything I ate was so delicious! I wasn't disappointed by a single thing I ate.
I had the Uni, Tako, and Sake Toro Nigiri, the Okurr roll, the Hamach Capraccio, the Salmon Uzusukuri, and the Miso Caramel ice cream.
For those of you like me that do not drink, they have a great selection of mocktails! I had the Rosemary's Baby and really enjoyed it.

A great place in midtown for happy hour. Such great deals on fresh and delicious sushi. Visited on a Wednesday evening around 6 PM for date night. A dimly lit romantic vibe. We ordered way too much food but we enjoyed every bite. Service was top tier, plates were removed almost immediately after we were done with them, staff checked in repeatedly and gave recommendations. I'd definitely return and highly suggest you check it out for yourself.
Oku Sushi is a must-visit in Atlanta! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the chic ambiance and friendly staff. The sushi here is out of this world. Each piece was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. I particularly loved their creative rolls – the flavors were a delightful surprise in every bite. I am a vegetarian, and Joe, the manager, came out to personally introduce himself and offer to make a specialty vegetarian sushi for us, and it was AMAZING. This was, by far, the best sushi I have had in my life. The service was top-notch (Shoutout to Morgan, Victoria, Joe, and Sophie!). I’ve been here twice already and can't wait to return for another delicious dining experience!
Vibrant servers, atmosphere and great tasting food.
My recent visit to O-Ku was nothing less than spectacular! I went with five of my friends (two of them are Vegetarians) for a celebration; as a matter of fact, there were two birthday celebrations.
Praises to Joe, Sofia and Morgan! These guys took amazing care of our party and made it magical and memorable! Among other foods, the vegetarian sushi were unbelievably delicious! Joe, how impressive!
Can’t wait to return! O-Ku is a must go to!
Happy Hour from 5-6:30. They offer small plates and discounted sushi rolls, however there are no happy hour cocktail specials....they are full price.
Pay $5 upfront for mandatory valet parking. I've been meaning to try this place for years and only now just got around to it. The views are no longer what I knew they once were, with the Atlanta skyline now blocked by new apartment buildings being constructed literally all around the district. We were hoping to try the upstairs bar, but the vibe wasnt super inviting, nor the weather. While its covered, it was very much a patio feel. Just too hot and humid this time of year. We headed back down and sat with Justin at the main bar, and we are so happy we did. We ordered the entire happy hour menu as well as just about every drink. The paper crane was my favorite!
Came here for my 4 year anniversary with my girlfriend and had a wonderful time. We were surprised with a free appetizer upon being seated because we were celebrating and it was amazing. Our server Jade had great recommendations for cocktails and food items, and did an amazing job making us feel welcomed and like special guests. All food exceeded our expectations and we ordered A LOT of sushi. Manager Joe is the best, he personally brought an appetizer to our table, and sent out a free dessert platter with Prosecco. Overall 10/10, definitely will be back.
The best food experience since moving to ATL!! We were celebrating our wedding day. And there are absolutely NO regrets for having our wedding dinner here. Jade was an amazing waitress. She was helpful with food and drink suggestions. We ordered SO much sushi. Can’t wait to go back!

Exceptional Birthday Experience at O-Ku
I can confidently say it was the best dining experience I've ever had. From the moment we walked in, the staff at O-KU, especially our server Kara, made us feel incredibly welcome and ensured we had a memorable time.
Kara was an absolute delight - she was sweet, friendly, and attentive throughout the evening. Her warm and welcoming demeanor added a personal touch to our dining experience.
The manager, Fatini, at O-KU also deserves special recognition for her service. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and special.
We had the pleasure of trying both sushi and shrimp dishes, and they were nothing short of delicious. The quality and presentation of the dishes were top-notch.
What truly stood out was the special attention they gave to celebrate my birthday and the fact that we had travelled down from Toronto. They made the occasion truly memorable by going out of their way to make me feel special. It's rare to find such thoughtful service, and O-KU exceeded my expectations.
As someone who has traveled to many places and experienced various dining establishments, I can confidently say that the service and dining experience at O-KU rank among the best. If you're in Atlanta or anywhere nearby, O-KU is a must-visit for a memorable dining experience that combines excellent food with exceptional service.
First off, the food. Great quality sushi. It was just as good as several places I’ve been in cities like New York and Los Angeles. It’s not like the highest tier sushi place, but solidly a great choice with great quality. However, the service was the star of the show. The waiters and waitresses that were walking around were always super kind, informative, conversational, and just overall wildly pleasant. Probably the best service I’ve literally ever had anywhere sans Michelin star restaurants. Go here if you’re looking for a great time and food!
