This pizza is amazing! I'm trying to eat a little healthier, and their wheat crust tastes better than most pizza joint's regular crust. The leftovers even stayed crunchy, not soggy like most. I got the Greek Pizza and it was phenomenal. Hopefully Uncle Maddio's will expand to the Midwest soon!
Food is always delicious and the employees are awesome. I love coming here!
Edit: Have I mentioned how much I love this place? Even on massively crowded days, I feel completely welcome. I've been to several Maddio's, and the food is delicious at all of them. It's the employees at this one that sets this place apart from the rest. I will continue to come back!
Ordered a gluten free mushroom and pesto pizza. It was bomb and the prices were super cheap. The guy who helped me out, Ralph, went above and beyond even for my quick take-out order. Great customer service and good food. Would definitely come back when I'm in the area!
Great little spot. Sometimes everyone wants their own type of pizza so we go here. Cool watching the plate as it goes down the line. Only gripe would be disinterested register work and the whole "made with love" thing. That's a bit too corporatey for me. A quick "enjoy your meal" or "have a nice day" would suffice. Don't make your workers earn their money by appearing as robots. Other than that, a cool place.
I love Uncle Maddio's. I started at the Moreland Ave one, but the Akers Mill location is a little closer to home from the other side of the city.
THe food is divine!!! The service? Great. the one-time I had an issue- my Rewards- the manager Rodney took care of everything. He reminds me of what a good business owner needs in the retail/restuarant industry... great working people that are friendly, polite, and do what needs to be done. I even helped guide a customer yesterday to her customized pizza. Once she at the pizza with a couple of my personal recommendations, she looked as if she won the POWERBALL $200 million lottery!! Keep up the great work. Should be back Monday for lunch. lol My business partners like going to lunch here for business.
You can get your own customized personal 9-inch pizza with 3 toppings for only $8. Add additional toppings for only 50 cents more. (I usually wind up with a 5 or 6 topping pizza. They have salads and sandwiches too. Join their rewards club and when you buy ten entrees, you get one free. Come by Thursdays at 8PM for weekly trivia contest where you can win coupons for future visits.
I'm a big fan of Uncle Maddio's. It's fresh made to order personal size pizza's (Although they come in larger sizes also.) I have found they are generally able to substitute Tofu for any of the meat options if you want one of their "Signature Pizzas". Unfortunately this store was out of tofu at lunch time on the day I went. I wasn't that upset though as I chose another Signature Pizza and it was just as delicious.
I love love love this place. This is the one place that I can count on to have amazing gluten free pizza. The service is top notch and they always go above and beyond to make sure my food is not contaminated with gluten.
Not bad for what it is: a fast-casual pizza joint, Uncle Maddio's is to pizza what Chipotle is to Mexican cuisine. Varasano's it ain't. But the pizza is made to order with fresh ingredients and doesn't take long to come out. The staff were pleasant and helpful during our visit.
The buffalo chicken pizza was to die for. Would have been 5 stars if they would have told us Kids Eat Free Tuesday night at 4 p.m. When we were buying our meals for two kids at 3:55 p.m.. They need an open sign in the window the place looks closed.
