There Brookhaven

There is a burger on the menu that got an award as the best burger in Atlanta a few years ago. But see, EVERYBODY says they have the best burger right?? Burgers are everywhere and usually arent too special, right? But dear good GAWD. This burger the Buffalo (Bison Burger) is excellently balanced. The bread is perfect, the sauce is perfect, the meat matches perfectly with its ingredients. None of the elements overwhelms the other and it comes together in a wonderful satisfying taste. I've eaten there about 11 times already and thats the only thing i order. It STILL deserves that award. I have only 2 specific burgers in the entire city that I continually praise, can't stop myself from ordering and try to get people to eat and they end up loving it. THIS burger is one of them. Go to the one in Brookhaven not Midtown (Update: Sadly Midtown closed down). The Brookhaven chef I believe is the original and knows how to make it better than the midtown chef. I'm not knocking on the midtown chef but my hairs stand up whenever i taste the Bison Burger at the Brookhaven location. * I try not to eat fries but they are tasty. Their chicken and beef tacos are surprisingly good as well. (Yes they have Taco Tuesday) * *The other sandwich that I push is the Cheesy Mofo at the Vortex. Its a heavy grilled cheese sammy with cheese broiled on the bread, bacon, several layers of different cheeses (get horseradish sauce on the side to dip the sandwich in , gettheir tater tots instead of fries and dip with their BBQ sauce). *

I was immediately greeted by a very warm and inviting waiter who came over with the menu and asked for my beverage of choice. In less than 3 minutes, he came to inquire if I wanted appetizers. My order was brought in under 15 minutes. The burger I selected was tasty, however it was a bit smaller than I expected. I also ordered a cocktail that was perfectly blended. I'd go again.

Had the pleasure of getting recommended here by an old partner of the owners and boy, did he not steer us wrong on the best burger! It's your local/old school bar vibe that we enjoy. After the first visit, we knew this would now be our go-to bar. Their food is fresh and delicious - we've had their wedge salad, THERE burger w/ the rosemary garlic fries (it's a MUST), lobster roll while it was on their special menu, 1/2 chicken (my golly, it was absolutely mouth drooling), and their fish and chips all within a few visits, of course!

This is a great local spot for a casual dinner. We’ve been here a handful of times and the service by Alex is amazing every time! Beer selection is great and the menu is really unique and so delicious. The Reuben is my favorite and the trout dip is amazing. Fries are always done perfect, too. Definitely worth checking out pre-Costco or for a laid back dinner!
