The atmosphere is what brought us to Longleaf. We were at the garden and started to get hungry. We're used to museums having food that's about average so we figured this would be about the same, we were wrong! This food is not your typical museum tier food, this is higher end restaurant food. We ordered a hummus platter for rhe table which I expected to be small, it was not. It came out very large with fresh vegetables that looked like they might have been grown at the garden. I ordered the mixed vegetables which I expected to be underwhelming, but again was not. My girlfriend ordered a chicken sandwich which was presented extremely well and she said it was delicious. I can attest to the fries as well. Everything was great, not your typical museum/garden restaurant!

Had an amazing experience for my mothers 81st birthday this weekend. The service the food and the drinks were all top-notch. They are just as short staffed as everyone else during Covid… But it didn’t show in the quality of the food or the kindness of the servers… and my goodness order drinks at the bar! We had about four rounds of the spicy Paloma. Amazing.. we had the shrimp and grits, the steak, And almost every appetizer on the menu. Recommend everything!

We stopped at Longleaf after a long day in the Botanical Gardens. We made a reservation on OpenTable for 5 (including two kids), which was fairly easy. The reputation of this place proceeded it, which was part of the reason I was so excited to try it. The food was really good, especially the kids meals, which were small and affordable yet interesting and well thought out. I got a Chicken Caesar salad and it was delicious. It was also presented very well and reminded me from of something from a much fancier restaurant than a botanical gardens cafe. The downside of this place was the service, we waited for over 30 minutes for our meal. This would have been less of a problem if we were not dining with two young kids. They did bring out the kids meals first and I appreciated this thoughtfulness. All in all, this a gem. It's a great place for a date or a fancy lunch. Don't expect good service though. It seems to be poorly staffed at the moment.

I had an early dinner here today and I must say the salmon sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever eaten. My daughter had the burger and I had a piece of it and it was very good also. Our waiter was having a hard time with our table. But he kept his head up and made the best of it. We made fun of all the mishaps and hoped he relaxed. My family and I left him a good tip for being professional and not letting our service get the best of him.

We were looking for a simple snack mid wandering in the botanical garden. What we got instead was the most exceptional possible service from Katelyn. She went far beyond in initiative and creativity to make something special happen for us. Several in our party will return in two weeks to experience her attentions once again.

Staff were extremely kind and friendly and the dining experience was lovely overall. The food was fresh and delicious, if pricy. The peach cobler with ice cream tasted home made and was phenomenal. I really enjoyed sitting on the patio and looking at the gardens as I ate.

We had a little bit of everything from the one pound meatball(delicious), the Cesar salad (really good but small), flatbread pizza fig and the margarita, both were good. We also got a shrimp pasta meal the shrimp are huge almost too big, but the pasta was great. Deserts left a little to be desired, I thought one was gluten free but nope just dense. The service is amazing and the atmosphere with the lights at the botanical made this a nice experience.

The food here was fantastic! My French dip was great and they had the best cornbread that I've ever had. Everyone liked what they ordered, including the mocktails. However, it took a long time to get our food and the prices aren't cheap. I don't think it's too expensive for the food that you get but the service was noticeably slow, even when it was not particularly busy.

We had Aidan as a server today. He made the meal! His recommendations were spot-on and his conversation was incredibly entertaining! I'll request him for our next visit. We will be back! Food and drink was fabulous as always, but service is what keeps us coming back!

We had a wonderful time at Longleaf Restaurant. The food was tasty, the team was nice, and the cocktails were great. It’s nice to dine surrounded by nature and the prices weren’t exaggerated for the quality of the food.

We stopped in here to eat in between walking around the Botanical Gardens. Clean environment excellent service, and the food was good. We had a burger and salad. The only con for me was the selection of food on the menu. e.g. Pork Belly

I came to the Botanical Gardens with my partner for a lovely date through the flowers. The morning of the date, we called to see if the restaurant takes walk-ins, and we’re told reservations were not needed. When we stopped in the restaurant after walking around for a while and asked for a sit, the hostess told us it would be a 3 hour wait. Of course we still wanted to eat there, so we stopped at the bar to get a friend while we wait. While waiting to receive our not very Mexican Mules, the hostess tells us our table is ready early. As delighted as we were to get our table sooner, the wait time to order food was unbelievable. Luckily, after we finally ordered, the manager at the time came over to apologize. We order the yummy cheese board as a starter. (I’m not sure if most people like blue cheese, but my feedback would be to replaced the blue cheese with a different option.) For the main entrees, we ordered the Steak Frites well-medium, and the Spring Risotto. The steak was more well-done than well-medium, but I guess better over cooked than under cooked. I loved the Spring Risotto. I wish we ordered dessert, but next time we will. Thank you to Anaya the hostess and Scott the Manager for giving us great customer service.

We reserve the table for my friend's birthday lunch. We all dressed up in tea party dresses because we technically wanted a tea party but we didn't have a venue nice enough so we decided to come to the botanical gardens to celebrate. The service was a little slow but given the weekend and the size of our party I didn't think it was too long and plus it gave us time to socialize but I don't think they're used to parties that big. The food was absolutely amazing I love healthy clean food that allows the flavors of the actual food to come through

Interesting and delicious food, with a nice wine list. Definitely make a reservation and eat here while visiting the gardens. Our server Aiden was great too.

The food was very well balanced. Enjoyed the fact that the menu is seasonal based. The food combinations were paired well as in protein with vegetables. The trout with the cream pecan sauce was very complex and earthy with a hint of sweet from the pecans. The salmon dish had a pickled garnish and it was very light and zesty. The banana bread pudding was phenomenal

Excellent staff members and quite the location to dine in! But if you are going just for eating then be prepared to pay entrance ticket as well. The food, the ambiance, the setting is great at longleaf restaurant. When we arrived on the weekend, it was packed with customers but the food still came out in reasonable time tasting delicious. Definitely recommend!
