So, we were impressed with the specialty cocktails and the beer selection . . . and then the tapas arrived. OMG! My stomach has a new happy place - and this is it!
We can NOT wait to try brunch!
PS - our server Katelyn was wonderful!
one of the best, been there with a friend for the long day of working having breakfast and lunch we enjoy the atmosphere the food, again one of the best
Came here with a friend based off of a referral from another friend. Carroll Street Cafe is a whole chill vibe. We chose a nook to sit in which gave a cozy atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive and the food was amazing. I have been counting the days until I can go back. Definitely recommend making this a go to spot.
Wonderful breakfast place tucked into a neighborhood. Parking wasn’t hard to find. They don’t take reservations but on a Wednesday morning we easily sat our group of 5. Food was absolutely delicious. Most of my part had the special of the day a chicken sausage omelet. Food came out together, quickly and fresh. Cocktails looked great!
Highly recommend for those who like quaint, hippie, vibes.
We had a party of 4 for brunch at 10:30 am on Friday, 7/7/23. Note that the brunch menu is smaller during the weekdays than on the weekend. Service was great! Our waitress was so sweet. Food was decent and came out quickly. Portions were generous! We sat inside, which was really cute! Loved the chalkboard art.
I got the Pancake Plate ($16) with scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. The casing of the sausage was really hard, so I wouldn’t get that again. The pancakes were really good and came topped with fruit! The eggs were good too! Someone in my party got the Lox Plate ($15). The bagel looked good, but it came with cream cheese that you would get in a school cafeteria. They gotta up their cream cheese game! Someone else got the Potato Cakes ($7.00 I think), and they said they weren’t worth it for the price. I had the Cabbageccino, which was an iced cappuccino with brown sugar, and I personally didn’t like it, but someone else in my party did. I liked the Chai Latte. They have a nice coffee menu, all of which can be made hot or cold.
Decent brunch option if you’re in the area.
Cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and great food. The dining room was spotless, too. Waffles were perfectly crisp yet fluffy. My eggs were fluffy and paired nicely with the grits, fried chicken, and biscuit.
We will definitely be back!
When the whole table finishes all their food, it's because the food is that good!
My pancakes were nice and fluffy. The fruit was fresh. The vegan (soy) sausage tasted like sausage.
All of the staff was down-to-earth and very friendly. They allow dogs outside, and offered water. Speaking of water: their water tastes good.
Their mid-week breakfast/brunch menu doesn't have as many offerings as the weekend brunch menu. I hear their weekend brunches get really busy.
Cozy nook located in Cabbagetown. Ambiance and decor transported us to a local New York feel.
We visited for brunch during prime time on a Sunday and got seated quickly. Staff was really nice. Menu is extensive and has great alternative options. Many vegetarian options. The chicken sausage was great. The biscuits were fluffy and warm. The waffles were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Veggie benedict was super filling. The shrimp and grits was savory. Shrimp was heavily coated with the blacken seasoning (but still tasted good). The cheesy grits were perfect. Drinks and food arrived a bit out of order (food, then coffee, and the last dish about 15 minutes after the others). Would have preferred for the drinks to arrive first while waiting for food.
Note: parallel parking in front is limited, other parking are in surrounding neighborhoods
Come this morning, around 12 pm, was seated fairly quickly. Ordered the pancakes, and fried chicken and grits breakfast. First, the biscuit, the biscuit, THE BISCUIT! Phenomenal, no words. 🤣 I mean as a biscuit connoisseur, a fresh, hot one will be a new love language of mines! 😃 Server was good! Parking isn’t fun, especially in the rain, but the biscuit made up for it. Recommend!
My true description on the food would make one believe I was over-exaggerating, so I'll just say it's abso****inglutely AMAZING!!! The service was sweet and swift just as I like, and the atmosphere has that laid back, bluegrass pub feel that I enjoy! This place is an instant fav!
Food was good and the staff was friendly. We went on Sunday morning and only two other patrons were there so it made for a nice quiet breakfast.
We got Bacon Benedict, shrimp and grits, and biscuits and gravy. Coffee was bitter but definitely perked us up. The shrimp was heavily coated in blackened seasoning which seemed a bit too much. The grits have pieces of corn kernels mixed through out which was a tasty treat.
Love this spot. Great food, great energy, great fun. A go to Cabbagetown eatery for sure!
