Tuk Tuk Thai is now my favorite Thai Restaurant!! The menu selection was great, the food was exquisite, the atmosphere was perfect, we had the best waiter in the world (Ask for Gus) and to top things off...the cost was so affordable!! If you love Thai food, there's no better choice in Atlanta than Tuk Tuk Thai!!!
5 Athens peeps: if you love Thai Spoon and/or Siri Thai you will love Tuk Tuk
Staying at the Hyatt Place Buckhead for a teacher training and googled various versions of "Thai food near me" - Tuk Tuk kept popping up in different articles discussing how many awards they have won. We happily found out yes it deserves all the hype
DRINKS: 2 words - lychee martini
Lychees are my favorite because they look like Martian eyeballs. Natural, fresh flavor and not too sweet. It's sensational. Could've drank 4 of these easily
FOOD: I had the Tom Yum Koong soup with shrimp and Yum Woon Sen (Thai style salad with seafood and chicken, similar to the Suki at Thai Spoon). It was sooo delicious, authentic, and beautiful! artistic presentation included lovely carrot "blossom" garnish. These tiny details are the things that show true chef love
AMBIENCE: peaceful (almost felt spa-like), modern, simple but elegant; the tall ceiling and tons of natural light are accented by overhead string lights and gorgeous jumbo orchid display. The design concept is perfect for that space.
SERVICE: super speedy, kind, attentive, professional; the staff were clearly happy to be there
Hands down the best Thai restaurant I've ever eaten at! Tuk Tuk was suggested by a staff member at SCAD while we were here for the annual Animation Festival, and the recommendation was on point.
The food was incredible, especially the steak skewers appetizer which came highly recommended. We also tried the bread dip appetizer, which was basically a quesadilla and dipping sauce (but delicious).
For the main course, my daughter had the salmon and I had the chicken fried rice (I asked for it without the broccoli). We devoured our food like we hadn't eaten in a week, it was delicious!
I also tried the $9.5 Japanese beer, another wonderful surprise here.
The service was fantastic, fast delivery, polite team members, and genuinely interested in talking with you.
We asked the hostess for seating suggestions and they told us outside had the best views, which it did. However, there is an annoying street light beeping at you while you are trying to enjoy your dinner.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience!
I’m fairly new to the whole Thai food game, due to now dating a Thai Guy and somehow never trying Thai food prior to being with him. However, I feel as if I have tried enough Thai restaurants now to form my own thoughts and opinions about how the food is. Tuk Tuk is high on my list! I ate here for the first time the other day and I was super impressed! First off, the aesthetic is a huge seller. It’s beautiful inside the restaurant and has a super chill, sexy ambiance. The drinks are perfection. The Pink Lady is crave-able and I could drink a whole slew of them. On top of all that, the food is also really tasty! It’s authentic, high quality Thai food. The whole experience was wonderful and I now see why my boyfriend has been going back there for years!! Highly recommend.
Great place in Midtown / Buckhead area of Atlanta. I love the entrance to the place. They have a little Tuk Tuk vehicle to give the real feel of being in Thailand.
Anyways, the food was amazing. I had the chicken and some really good appetizers. The staples of sticky rice and papaya salad were on point. The food has an option of being spicy or not so spicy for people with more of an American palate.
The view is one of the best in the city. I would suggest sitting on the patio at night to see a great view of the Atlanta sky line!
Celebrated my son's birthday here. We came during lunchtime, and the restaurant wasn't crowded! The visual of the restaurant was lovely. The food was delicious, and the service was pleasant and fast. Very nice experience.
Great food, a little slow on the service but hey. Overall I’d come back as we had a larger than normal table and everyone was very happy with their meals and libations.
I ordered the Satay Kai, Nuea Ping, Thai Tea, and Kra Pow Moo. The appetizers Satay Kai and Nuea Ping were good but not the best tasting. Thai Tea was good but super sweet. The entree Kra Pow Moo was my favorite that I ordered. For service, the entree came out before the appetizers and they refilled our drinks before they were empty. Atmosphere was great! We sat outside on the balcony and had a nice view of the city!
I love everything about Tuk Tuk Thai food loft. This beautifully fun decorated restaurant won't disappoint. I went with my Sis, and we decided to split our meals family style! We got the salmon and shrimp special with basil fried rice and vegetables 10/10. We also got an order of shrimp fried rice 10/10. They were generous with shrimp 10/10.
Hostess (Lala) was not pleasant nor accommodating. However, our waiter Jonathan was superb. The owner came by our table, greeted us, and even gifted our friend with a small token because she was celebrating her birthday. The food was delicious. We truly enjoyed ourselves. 4 stars is only due to the mean hostess. I recommend this place. Free parking is a plus. There was another waiter who recommended the calamari. Great recommendations! Definitely will visit again.
Great food, environment, servers very professional. Ambience was amazing
