The food was absolutely delicious! The only hiccup was the little space. Itโs pretty cramped in the restaurant. However, in spite of that, the food was well worth the wait. The staff is also very friendly and professional.
Joy Cafe is the best place in Atlanta for bruch hands down. I dream of the breakfast buritto. We also rated their chocolate chip cookies the best and gave them out as people left my daughters wedding! The owners are wonderful people that care about their customers.
We visited here for brunch after visiting the Atlanta botanical gardens. So happy we did, it was delicious! Every single dish we ordered was so amazing! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Can't wait to come back. Must try the shrimp and grits and the brisket tacos and the French vanilla latte was perfect for the cold weather! Love it here! Highly suggest if you come on the weekend expect a wait and come early if you can.
Absolutely delicious! Literally everything on their menu is incredible. The meatloaf is the best I've ever had and it's insanely massive so you'll definitely have lunch the next day! Cannot recommend them enough and the owners, Jon & Joy are the sweetest!
The hospitality was a breath of fresh air. We had such a great experience here, and the food was off the charts delish! We ordered family style and shared several plates. The cocktails where great and the espresso was even on point.
Mother and I was recommended to this outstanding Cafe. Julie our waitress is absolutely fantastic. I'd give her 5๐ for her awesome service. And when we ate our avocado toast was absolutely AAAMMMMAAAZZZIIINNNGGG! Did I say Amazing ๐๐ After I was done I got to thinking I'd love to tell the owner how fantastic I felt and still do feel the Love in the food. And then "Joy actually came to our table and we expressed our gratitude. Thank you ๐ We definitely will return soon.

We came for brunch on a Sunday morning, during the weekend of Atlanta Pride. It was rainy & chilly outside, and we arrived right before they got a huge rush of people around noon. We ordered Chicken & biscuits, Shrimp & Grits and of course Mimosas. Both were really delicious and filling and the mimosas were tasty. We sat close to the bakery selection & it was mouth watering but we were full after our meal so we missed out on those delightful confections. Our server was wonderful and prompt and the owner made her rounds as well to make sure we were satisfied. Highly recommended.
The heartwarming part for us: my partner picked the restaurant bc my Grandmother's name was Joy, and they sat us next to the butterfly wall display. Coincidentally, butterflies are near and dear to his family in association with his sister who passed away. It was a really perfect memory for us and our lost loved ones during pride weekend. โค๏ธ๐งก๐๐๐๐
Wonderful spot for brunch. We came here right before the St Patrick's Day parade. Despite being crazy busy, our server never made it feel that way at all. She was overly attentive so sweet and kind. The food was superb and the presentation was also really good! We ordered the bacon & pimento omelette and the chicken & egg sandwich. For the chicken & egg sandwich, we asked to scramble the eggs instead of getting it sunnyside up --- the sandwich had an interesting lemon/tart taste. Their grits is HANDS DOWN one of the best grits I've ever had. The bacon is also super thick and cooked perfectly. The only negative comment I have is that everything looked amazing but not having enough room in my stomach to try everything. I seriously cannot wait to come back and try more!! The owner, Joy, personally came and greeted us and also picked up our payment. We loved meeting her...it was like meeting a celebrity.
Went to Joy Cafe for Sunday brunch for my birthday today. Food, mimosas & service was amazing. Our waitress (I think her name was Sydney) made my day extra special by giving me a complimentary dessert!! The chef & the owner Joy both came out to talk to us. Would highly recommend Joy Cafe
First time visitor! Our server was amazing! Jania (please forgive if I got the name wrong). The food was amazing. Great location, friendly staff, and pretty fast service. Listen if you don't try anything else, try the the grits! They were AMAZING!! The cheese grits and the savory grits are both great. Give the place a try if you want a good meal in a great spot!
We caught the end of the brunch hour here on a Saturday and we will definitely be back. It took about 10-15 minutes to be seated so we took advantage of the photo ops outside.
The bacon tasted so delicious I was tempted to ask them where they get it. The granola and fruit bowl was one of the best that I've had and I always get something similar if I find it on a restaurant's menu. The fruits were sweet and the portion was perfect. The only thing I would've asked for is more of the honey Greek yogurt but not a deal breaker. The table mimosa was $35 and did its job, after all, it's a whole bottle of champagne.
Lastly, service was satisfactory. Our waitress was attentive.
Food was very good. Family enjoyed everything they had. Biscuits and gravy are not your normal so expect an experience. By far the shrimp and grits are the best I have ever had though. Atmosphere is upscale but not stuffy. Our waiter was a doll and very pleasant.
