Went here for my birthday last night with my family and loved it! Everyone loved their food and our Waiter was the best! Highly recommend the chicken or salmon. So so good. Seeing the planes land and take off is also a great dinner view.
My fiancé and myself happened upon this restaurant the other day and we had the all you can eat brunch. I have never had such an amazing brunch coupled with a unique experience!! The brunch was pricey but the experience is worth it.
Probably the best place i've been till now in Atlanta for food.
Loved the place.
I loved watching planes🙌
The food is tasty it didn't dissappoint me at all.🙌
I have been to this restaurant two times. I love the theme of the bombed out building s the dining room, old world War Two tanks, bunkers, and aircraft, finally a great bar with craft cocktails, views of the airport and a wonderful menu. They had one up in Akron, Ohio as well that I took my brother to, but sadly they closed.
Best Sunday Brunch in town. I cannot say enough about the 57th Sunday brunch. Being a military service member myself this is one of the coolest places historically you can enjoy a Sunday afternoon brunch. The entire restaurant is modeled after a WWII farmhouse nestled on an old English countryside airfield that you would see in your grandpa's old black and white photos from back in the war. The inside is decorrated with the original photos and memorabilia all donated from actual members of the 57th fighter wing who served in the unit during WWII.
Every Sunday the 57th has brunch from 10-2:30pm. It is an all you can eat spread for one price and includes everything from cooked to order omelets, piles of peel and eat shrimp, prime rib, waffle stand, beer cheese soup, beef medallions, Talapia, chicken and other prepared meat dishes that change week to week, assorted vegetables, full breakfast items, cold cuts, Bread bar, etc... You cannot leave this place without loosening your belt a notch or two. Mimosa's are served starting at 12pm due to Georgia blue laws and if you are feeling up for a flight you can take a ride over Atlanta in an open air cockpit bi-plane that pulls right up to the back of the restaurant which borders the local airport. The 57th takes reservations but I have never had to wait more then 5-10 minutes walking in and asking for a table.
Incredible Sunday brunch buffet! Unique atmosphere and great service. Try the bananas foster waffle and key lime pie.
Excellent food. Service is quick and non intrusive. Good value for money. I highly recommend.
Menu has changed and gone up in price and everything is a la cart. That being said, everything is delicious except for the rolls they put on the table. Also it is a more dressy type place too. We figured with the aviation theme it would be not so dressy!
A Sky High Surprise. Tucked away next to PDK airport, this little place was an unexpected crowd pleaser. Admittedly, I was fairly skeptical as we navigated the kudzu lined road that looks like a scene from a war era movie, but at the other end of the road we found this lovely restaurant bustling with satisfied customers. The crawfish cake was absolutely out of this world. Everyone's steaks were expertly prepared; mine came topped with a wonderful port sauce that nearly drove me to lick the plate clean. It was lovely to sit by the back picture window and watch the planes come and go. Great fun, great food. We went for dinner, but I'd imagine the lunch atmosphere would be nice as well. 57th deserves serious Bravo Zulus.
Great Time Cool Atmosphere. We had our company Xmas party at the 57th fighter group
awesome fish shrimp and steak! planes taking off landing right outside window. WWII stuff on the walls and on the property fun and good food!
This item is something I requested....try it. Muddy Water: 2parts oj, 2parts coke, 1part johnny walker.(please stir when you get it)
So quirky I want to live here!. The decor is awesome, intimate, another world away! I loved the quiet , the scenery, the great service and attention to detail was refreshing. The food was inspired and really awesome. I really enjoyed everything about this place and will be coming back many times.
Unique restaurant with great variety of food options & a great view of flights landing & take-off.
Ambience of this is an add-on.
Take your friends out for a party & make your feets dance in the dance floor.
I loved the burger & the fries that we ordered.
Service was quick.
Friendly staff.
Spent the time dancing and outside most of the night. Ordered fries..they were yummy shoestring fries, seasoned well and salty. I'd like to try more food. Will definitely go back to do so. I liked the dancing. Music choices were everywhere, which was kind of good. Dance floor wasn't too crowded.
A unique restaurant that has great food, great views of planes landing and taking off, plus an amazing ambiance that highlights our aviation history. Take your family, enjoy the trip through the bunker on your way to the table, enjoy all the pictures and history adorning the walls, and have a wonderful meal to top it off.
Great food with a fun atmosphere! I took my family for a nice dinner and the kids loved the food and watching all the planes and jets take off and land. Our server Denice was amazing and all the food was delicious. The chef even came to confirm my child’s allergy and ensure us he would make sure we were safe! It was a great evening and we will return especially to check out some of there fun events!
My first visit, it's amazing! Lots of atmosphere and authenticity.
Deon was a great server! We ate the brunch buffet, delicious. Lots of meat-eater options, of course. A good number of options for this vegetarian too.
I recommend a visit!
We went for a group Naval Academy parents function and it was great. Good food and drink selections and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend and I would go back for sure.
Son loves planes, great spot to see flights taking off.
Kitchen...please lay off the salt. Food was good, bordering on awesome. Less salt would make it so.
Beer cheddar soup was spot on.
Fries were close to being absolutely incredible (too salty)
Sandwich ok, but a bit dry.
My experience is very old! I was there in the 1980's! Food was great and my co-workers and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Tried to take my wife there on a year's later visit and it was closed down! Am thrilled that the 57th is back in business! Just to give you a hint (I still have a menu!) - Filet (regular cut) was $16.50 and petite was $14.95. Ribeye with mushrooms was $14.95 also. Am so happy to see that the beer cheese soup survived!!! Loved it! Been a lot of years, but I still have fond memories of sitting right by the windows nearest the runways and watching traffic! Maybe someday!!!
The food was awesome I loved the burger and fries. Ice cream was really a great delight with chocolate syrup on top!
Also...being able to watch planes was quite entertaining.
Thirty years later, food was ok. We had prime rib I can't tell you why but there was a strange taste to it. We left most of it there. Just could not eat it. A friend had NY strip and it was not seasoned, like at all. The beer cheese soup smelled like feet and was grainy/mealy. It used to be so good. The only meal anyone in our group enjoyed was the Salmon. Service was kinda strange. Restaurant wasn't packed but the dance floor was. Cool Saturday night hangout. Just eat before you get there.
