Excellent restaurant - great central location. Friendly, helpful wait staff (David & Bethany waited on us, as we visited it 2 nights in a row)! The food was amazing - huge portions. The Jagerschnitzel was very tasty, done just right. The reuben rolls are to die for! We also had potato pancakes w/the best homemade applesauce I've ever tasted, an enormous pretzel w/a tasty cheese spread, and spaetzel w/cheese & onions. They served a big variety of German beers, too. This restaurant is on our "must visit" list, and I'm sure we'll return!! I highly recommend Der Biergarten!!
Great place to watch Der Klassiker yesterday! Great food, drink and atmosphere. Our buffet was presented so beautifully with all the best German food yesterday, too.

We tried the charcuterie, the pretzel and the sausage appetizer. All were great! They have some nice mustards too. We also tried the Reuben rolls and apple struddel.

Visited with a few Germans, felt like a traditional German Beer Hall with dining room, beers and food. A couple of non German beer options. In & rooftop outside seating, accessible by stairs-unless I did not see an elevator
Never had German, food was delicious. Great atmosphere and our waiter Jonny was spot on. He we very attentive but no over shadowing! He was also a big reason we enjoyed ourselves so much! Beer is a must, the way it hits with the food!
We attended an event here and had a blast! The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the location was great. We had the potato pancakes (ate before we got a picture --so delicious!) And we tried two types of schnitzel (also delicious). We'll definitely be back.
The food was okay, definitely needed to be more seasoned. Portions were small. We left hungry. There is no kids menu. But the service was top notch. From the hostess to our waitress, we were well taken care of.

Patrick and the staff were amazing. They will give you all the advice you need to figure out what beer you need! The ambience is amazing, and all the people, customers included are top notch!!!!
Atmosphere was great. Food was amazing. Beer selection was excellent. Service was superb. Our server ‘Drea was fantastic. What more can you ask for? Highly recommend to anyone!
Had dinner there on 15 December with family and friends. This was not my first time here so I knew what to expect with regards to the food. It was excellent as always. What really blew me away on this visit was the service. Not that it’s ever been bad, but our server on this occasion, Laurel, Was simply stellar

The food is pretty good here. Of course it's not authentic, but it's pretty close to the real thing. Some days the food is better than others depending on crowds and the cook like any other restaurant, but the atmosphere is cute and fun and it's in a part of town where it's mostly a ton of chain restaurants which aren't anything special. This place is special. Whenever I go to the aquarium or my mom visits, I make sure to stop in here. Pricy but portions are huge. I recommend splitting a meal. But the thing that makes this restaurant amazing is actually the server TL. Not only does he remember me even though I only go in once or twice a year, but he makes sure that everything is ordered correctly (even with my substitutions), he is hilarious, personable hard-working, and makes my visits here with my mom memorable! I am not kidding, he literally remembered my mom and me one full year apart from our visits. If you're in the area I highly recommend it. And where else would you want to celebrate Oktoberfest in Atlanta.
