Sushi was great. Best cocktails of any sushi restaurant I’ve been to in Atlanta, albeit a bit pricey. Service was excellent.
You will NEVER have a bad experience here. The consistency is amazing. The food is to die for and so fresh!

Umi was absolutely delicious and worth every single bite ! I was surprised to see how crowded it was on a Tuesday night and was pretty frustrated by having to wait almost 40 minutes past our reservation time. BUT, the service and food completely made up for it. We were given 2 complimentary appetizers due to our long wait, which was so incredibly thoughtful. Every dish we ordered was delicious, probably one of the best sushi places I have tried! Can’t wait to visit again
Food was incredible. Ambiance is good, but it will feel a lot like many other places.
Music was a bit loud. Donut dessert thing is worth it. Get one for two people even if house recommends otherwise.
This place was the best sushi experience of my 55 year old life, and I have been eating sushi in CA since 1992.
Our favorites were the Nigiri daily specials of fatty tuna, Japanese red snapper. We got the chef special 2 piece which was excellent. The eel box was good. The tuna carpaccio was incredible! We finished with crepe cake and chocolate bomb. The crepe cake was wonderful and not overly sweet. We had an amazing time for my BFF’s birthday.
Good sushi is an experience, also check out the bathrooms.
First time here, we are new to Atlanta and are trying all the restaurants and celebrating our anniversary. I had the omakase because I wanted to taste the best of everything the chef had to offer. The sashimi was very tasty and fresh. I chose only sashimi, no nigiri(no rice). The lobster that is seared at the table was so good, tender and sweet.
My husband had the chicken teriyaki. It was good, chicken was tender but nothing special. My pinot grigio was delish and my husband's drink was yummy as well. The only thing negative is that it got very busy very fast, so our drinks were not getting filled as needed.
Next time I will order my sashimi alacart and choose the pieces I enjoy the most.
It's $$$$, but it's good. I see a lot of complaints about service, our server was fn awesome.
The food is top notch. We reserved a seat but the space near the bar was cramped. I wonder why the outdoor patio isn’t used. Did I say the food was delish? The vibe is also very nice.
Every time I'm in Atlanta I need to make a stop at Umi.
The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. The food and drinks are beyond delicious. One of my favorites is the shrimp tempura. It's impossible to just get one so order two of these (trust me).
Dresscode is strictly enforced here so make sure you dress the part. Who knows you might even see a celebrity or two. Last time I saw Trey Songz.
Amazing Omakase experience. All of the dishes were excellent. They were very busy and it was quite loud inside. Service was mostly good (drinks were a little slow to arrive and there was a longer wait to place an order than I might have wished). Overall a good experience and I would go back. Bring your larger wallet/purse though!
