Don Armandos

Jorge our waiter was fantastic. This business was created by his parents. Good food here. Our friends and my husband and I had questions about several of the dishes on the menu. He answered our questions thoroughly. All the food was delicious. I would definitely visit again unfortunately this was a business trip and we are leaving tomorrow morning.

Coming into this establishment, i was a little skeptical because most Mexican restaurants make their salsa differently. Chips and salsa are the key ingredients towards the cutomers reactions. I ordered shrimp fajitas for $7.99 and my mother ordered grilled chicken nachos for $7.99. We waited for quite sometime for the food, but the wait time was understandable as Don Armando is short staffed at the moment. While we waited, we endulged in fresh salsa and gourmet cheese dip with jalapeños. Boy was it phenomenal!!! Our server was a young man named, "Jorge." He provided excellent customer service. No complaints there whatsoever. Our food finally arrived at the table and everything on our plates was made to order with hot steam rising from where our plates sat. The shrimp was clean. The bell peppers could have been grilled longer. My mothers nachos was also made to order, however there was a low supply of chicken and cheese on her plate. It was mainly filled with nachos. It was an illusion. An illusion that tasted great leaving us hungry for more. For a first time attending this restaurant, it most certainly wont be the last. All that i hope for is for a larger quantity in the meats the next time we visit, for the price that we paid. Otherwise, i recommend this place to anyone who has the craving for AWESOME Mexican food. It has the potential of earning 5 stars. We will see the next time i place an order.

Don Armando's has quickly become a favorite of mine. The service is excellent. You feel welcomed as soon as you walk through the door. If you are fan of SoCal food---try this place! The flavor when I tasted Mason's Burrito reminded me of food I can only get in San Diego. It's nice to have that flavor closer to home.
