Lady B's

I have been here 3 times this week and can say the chicken tenders, fries, lady sauce, and BBQ sauce all taste amazing. Each time we’ve come in there the wait time has been shorter than the last, so I think they’ve been doing better. Plus customer service was very helpful and you can tell they were really trying to reduce wait time and make sure everyone was happy. The owner is very welcoming and nice to talk to. The price is good for a good quantity of food, both my boyfriend and I leave full each time. Doing a great job! I’m so happy to have a food spot like this in Athens with good location on court street.

Good food! Went for the lunch rush and waited 5-10 minutes in line. Food was ready 1-2 minutes after I placed my order. My only disappointment was not being able to substitute Mac & Cheese for fries. The sides cost $1.99 each, so I figured it'd be no big deal to swap fries for mac & cheese. That was not an option. They offered to remove the fries and still charge me an additional $1.99 for mac & cheese. I declined and took the fries and they were quite good. Chicken strips were about the same size as Canes strips are nowadays and the Lady Sauce pairs very well, too. I liked the slaw. It's on the sweeter side. Biscuit was very good as well. I'll certainly be back!

The chicken tenders were overcooked and tasted rubbery. If the chicken at this place can be messed up, nothing on the menu is safe. Also, the biscuits were room temperature and had no flavor. "Lady Sauce" just tastes like Buffalo Ranch, not a signature recipe. The customer service was also questionable. The person who took our order acted like he didn't want to be there and we saw a potential customer storm out angry without any efforts by the employee to appease him. In short, this place is overpriced, overhyped, and not a worthy alternative to Raising Cane's; this coming from someone who slightly dislikes Cane's...the food there is gourmet compared to Lady B's.

BEST FRIES IN OHIO! Excellent fried chicken. Crazy good; fast & courteous service. Location so convenient, and they’re open LATE and they deliver — heads and tails above everything else in Athens. A must visit. Especially for those fries. And the sauce. And everything else. And they cater. Can’t recommend enough!
