Star of India is amazing. Great food for both dinning in and take out. I love spicy food, and the extra hot option doesn't disappoint. Maybe go with spicy if you're not ready for the heat. The chicken and lamb is very well cooked/seasoned. I got the Tikka masala my first time and it hooked me on this place. The biryana was great as well. Great potion sixes for the price. My only complaint is I didn't know about this place sooner.
Owner is also a great guy. He's usually hard at work in the back but when he comes to the table it's always with a smile and great attitude. You can tell he's passionate about his customers and the business.
I’ve lived in Athens for years, many of which I’ve had Star of India. Now that I’m moving out, I can say that it’s one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food is spiced to perfection, however you prefer. Regardless what you get you cannot go wrong, I’ve had most of their menu and never been disappointed. And of course, the service is wonderful. If you want great Indian food, this is the place.
Lovely little restaurant with authentic North Indian food. Offers both delicious veg and non-veg options. Really enjoyed the mixed naan, palak chicken and kheer here. Would gladly go back here.
We had a great experience today. It was our first time trying star of India. The food was delicious and the owner was very nice. The appetizer was awesome The main course was hot and very delicious. The hot tea was very tasty as well. If you haven't tried this place I urge you to stop in. I ordered mine extra spicy and man it really hit the spot. Thanks star of india.👊👊👊👊👊
I was visiting the area and came across this little gem of a place. The food was really good and the hospitality was above and beyond... I ended up going there two evenings in a row. If I am ever again in the area, definitely will stop by! Loved the food !!!
My husband and I love Star of India! The service is always great, and we really love the vindaloo and alu Gobi. I'm also a pretty big fan of the chicken makhani and the mango Lassi makes for a sweet treat afterwards. And they have a lot of different types of Naan, so we can each have our own. Nice vegetarian and vegan options as well. My husband also really loves the vegetable pakora.
By far the best restaurant in Athens. The food quality is excellent. I have never once had a bad experience. The people are wonderful and treat you like family. I love this place!
