Peking Restaurant

Unbelievably disappointed in this place. I found a hair in my food, not once, but twice. Horrible food for $80!!! Ordered shrimp CHOW MEIN and got whatever is in the picture. Chow mein noodles are supposed to be crispy!! After YEARS of never having problems with the food here, this is a massive rip off and disappointment that has us saying, "Not again." Really considered bringing this back to the restaurant and demanding my hard earned money back because we couldn't even eat this. Unbelievable.

All I can say is, everything has completely went downhill for this place. I started the new year off with food poisoning from sizzling rice soup and Snow White chicken!! The chicken dish has particles of what tasted like burnt metal in it. Keep I mind it got the snow whit chicken to go. I had diarrhea, vomiting, shakes, & chills. An absolutely terrible evening from consuming their food products. I Will Never Be Back!!! And Will Tell Everyone To Take Business Elsewhere!!!

Have done dine in, pick up and delivery. I have to say the delivery is usually much quicker than they predict. They usually save 45 minutes to an hour but it arrives in 25 to 30 minutes. I saw some of the recent reviews that were not great, but I have to say that we get takeout here on a fairly regular basis and have never had an issue with quality or quantity. We usually get the shrimp with asparagus and chicken with broccoli. Both are hot and fresh and we have leftovers for a couple of days. I usually call and order the food. I don't think they have an online ordering service. I should probably check that out. That's the only thing I would like to see improved. We haven't eaten dine-in in a couple of years. But it was comfortable and nice when we were there last. It's my go-to for Chinese takeout! If you dine in there is plenty of parking. If you're coming from town you might have to do a U-turn to get to the location, but it's really not that bad. From Epps bridge it's super convenient!

Peking Restaurant has been in the Athens area for many years. At one time in two different locations. Great food and service. Love their Mongolian beef that's what I always order when I go in that among other things I try to go in and have dinner with them at least once a month sometimes it's too much but I do make it I love the food. Appetizers like paper chicken all that good stuff I love it all I can feel the page up but excellent place to have dinner lunch I like to say again I'll try to go at least once a month out on the Atlanta highway Athens Georgia.

Food: They have a great variety of food choice. I love their sizzling rice soup. I especially like to order from the seafood section on the menu (Mongolian Triple Delicacy, Kung Pao Shrimp, and chef Special Shrimp). I wouldn't suggest ordering ONLY fried rices. If you want fried rice, it's better to also order some other on trays that have sauces to match with the fried rice. Price: I think the price is reasonable for such a big portion you get. I always have to ask for to-go boxes. Service: The two waitresses (not the waiter) are super nice. They were very patient with me when I asked for suggestions. Sometimes they were busy and I had to go check out at the front, but I'm fine with that. It surprised me when I saw the negative comments about the waitresses here. They are always friendly to me. I leave standard tips (15%) every time. My overall experience with this restaurant has been great so far. I often go there alone and sometimes I invite friends.
