5 Stars for the food and it still being Taco Stand! However, it suffers from the modern blight of most other local Athens eateries... it's become an haven for rude pensioners and pseudo-Athens elitists... you know, the type who bring their own bottles of wine... to Taco Stand. Last visit, I was subjected to two post-wall "wymyn" who had a loud diatribe about "male privilege" so we all could hear. Then, they proceed to make obvious, snide comments about our talkative 12yo, again, so we could hear it. Please bring back 1995 Athens, when the Bohemians and burnouts and professionals and coeds all got along, because this modern, classist, post-woke Athens is unbearable.

Do not trust advertised open hours. I was there at 8:20 p,m, this evening -- more than an hour before the announced closing time -- and the usual cashier who was sitting at a table, eating, pointed at the neon "open" sign, which had been turned off, and waved me away.
Maybe change the advertised closing time to "whenever we feel like it."

It’s really too bad the downtown flagship location closed. The nimrods that work at the Milledge location can’t make anything correct. This is a picture of a chicken salad that they neglected to put chicken on. Great job! You couldn’t even keep a job at McDonalds. Sober up and take some pride in your work or your location will be closed next.

Don't get the jumbo tofu taco softshell, it's a regular sized tiny tofu taco that costs $4, a total rip off, I was told that if I had gotten in hard shell it would have been bigger but since I order it soft shell it was an extra 60 cents and a regular sized taco, I feel jipped $6.80 for one tiny "jumbo" tofu taco softshell with a drink, jumbo for Chihuahuas so at the very least my spirit animal is full.. thanks!
