Clarke's Standard

Spent at least 40 dollars in this bar, was told by “manager” Graceie Boston, that me and my friend weren’t allowed to queue music after being handed a phone with a queue and she was just with her friend and wanted to take over, she told me she was a manger. After a exchange of words and she took over the queue, she kicked me out but then I saw her at Cutters down the road, not being the alleged manager on duty.

Good food fine service , a while back I was given the wrong order via the delivery service and the manager went out his way to not only reach out to me but to hook me up with a delicious meal on the house a few days later . They offer a great selection of premium items and ingredients probably one of my favorite downtown spots in Athens .

The food was great. The portions were small (for the price), but I expected that. The decor is really neat /clean. My server was great, but the guy behind the bar was kind of a douche. He was loudly talking about his drunk experiences the prior night, it was pretty unprofessional. I'm not sure if it was made better or worse by my table being the only table of customers.

I had a Google recommendation pop up for this place, so my wife and I decided to meet for a quick midweek dinner without the kids. Perfect for a change of pace for us. Very cool place and excellent location for pre/post concert food or drinks. She ordered the pimento cheese appetizer which was outstanding. For our entrees, she had the grilled chicken sandwich and fries and I had the black bean burger and ceasar salad. She said her sandwich was very good, and the fries were too. Mine was very good as well. The service was a little unique. The waiter asked and took away our appetizer while there was still a small portion of it left. My wife and I were so surprised, neither of us could protest before he was gone and we each realized that the other wasn't done with it. He was midly attentive as a waiter should be, but his tableside manner, we did not see. The kitchen was unexplainably slow as we were only 1 of 2 tables that even had people seated and the bar was nearly empty. All in all it wasn't a bad experience, but not one I would say "Let's do this again"

Honestly one of the worst eating experiences I have ever had. It was a Saturday so it was busy for game day but our food took over an hour to come out. When the food finally came the burger was burnt and the chili was extremely cold. There was also two hairs found in the food which made it very unappetizing but as we were starving after our hour wait we ate it and even in our hunger it just wasn’t good. I do not recommend.
