We are huge fans of this place as well as little Italy. Pizza is consistently great!! Stick to simple toppings. Too many veggies water down and make the crust less crispy. Subs are also super great!!!
We go frequently now. Sometimes we eat in other times we call 20 minutes ahead and then pick it up. Haven't been disappointed yet. We have never bought by the slice we have only ordered whole pizzas. We usually go to places after their busy times.
Peppino's is basically Little Italy (although I think it is slightly less good). Same owners. But their pizza is definitely the best after Little Italy, and before any chain restaurant. They're a little out of the way but worth the trip if you're craving great pizza and don't want the hassle of dealing with downtown. Plentiful toppings and great pizza base (dough/sauce are yummy).
I've go to tell ya, I've never had a bad meal here. This place is good for just about what ever "food mood" you may be in. It's good for dates, game days, after work mellowing out, or just chilling with friends and family. The people who work here always know me. The owners talk to everyone. The pizza is great! The subs are huge and can be hot (temperature)! I recommend the grilled chicken sub with sautéed onions and mushrooms! If you don't check this place out then you don't have the full Athens experience.

Cheese pizza by the slice is perfect, trust me. The whole pizzas are great too, real Italian New York fold it to your face pizza, but if you like a pizza crust crisp from tip to crust, get a few by the slice.
You want a big great sub, get the Italian Sub, trust me. I like mine with no mustard, no onions, these things are as big as your forearm and full of meats, cheese and Italian oil & vinegar.
Get the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, just do it!
Get the Egg Plant Parmigiana Sandwich...again, trust me.
Get the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and the Italian Sausage Sandwich, they will be in your dreams forever.
This is get all over your face food. Tuck yourself away in a booth and chow-down. It's got big TV's going, booths tables plenty of parking.
The only complaint, is it gets crowded with noisy families sometimes, well, the place is good and cheap, so go anyway and enjoy the chatter. Could use some pinball machines, but Joe has a TV room in there for the kids.

My husband and I LOVE the food, the service, and the decor. Very clean. Fast service. Italian deluxe sub is the best I've ever had!
What a great little pizza joint. Prices are affordable, specials are amazing and the food is literally the best pizza my siblings and I have had EVER. Be warned, the Sicilian slices are HUGE, so you'll need a to-go box for more than one.
